Posted Monday October 29, 2007, About: Kobe brokering Bulls trade
Here's my solution to the Kobe Bryant Bulls trade situation:

Kobe wants Bulls.

Bulls want Kobe.

Lakers want superstar.

Bulls don't have box-office superstar (and that includes Luol Deng).

So here's the perfect solution: Three-team deal with Washington.

Gilbert Arenas has already told everyone he plans to opt-out a la Alex Rodriguez and test his worth on the open market next summer. Agent Zero is from LA. Being that Gilbert got mad at Adidas for not featuring him in their campaigns previously, a trade to LA would make both he and his agent happy.

Here's the deal:

Bulls get: Kobe Bryant

Lakers get: Gilbert Arenas and Tyrus Thomas, Viktor Kryhapa

Wizards get: Ben Gordon (sign and trade), Andres Nocioni.

This deal couldn't take place until dec. 15 because of nocioni.

Other than the 45 days of awkwardness of Kobe playing for the Lakers, and Gordon for the Bulls, this is a trade where Washington protects themselves from losing Gilbert for nothing while getting a future all-star and a great role player, the Bulls get their guy without trading deng, and the Lakers get the box office draw and arguable the third best shooting guard in the league behind Kobe and D-Wade. (I don't consider gilbert a point guard in the true sense of the word)
Posted Saturday July 28, 2007, About: Alvarez favors Big Ten title game
I'm in favor of a Big Ten Title Game. It could be rotated like they do in the Big 12 in the new stadium being built for the Colts, Ford Field in Detroit, Soldier Field and Possibly Lambeau Field. (If the Vikings build a stadium, they should be considered too).

The Big Ten should add Syracuse as its 12th school and divide the conference as follows

Big Ten West
1) Minnesota
2) Wisconsin
3) Iowa
4) Illinois
5) Northwestern
6) Purdue

Big Ten East
1) Indiana
2) Michigan
3) Michigan State
4) Ohio State
5) Penn State
6) Syracuse

Like the ACC, each school would get one natural rival from the other division to preserve rivalries. (i.e. Indiana plays Purdue)

With a 12-team league last year, the Buckeyes would have had to play wisconsin lets say at Soldier Field. The teams never played in the regular season and just think how great a challenge an 11-1 Badger team on a neutral field would have been for the Buckeyes. Though the Buckeyes and Badgers each played Michigan (with Wisconsin losing) they each didn't play one of the top 3 teams in the conference by not playing each other.

Add Syracuse and lets fix this already. Pittsburgh and Missouri I here are also candidates. (Iowa State and Nebraska should also be considered.
