Those numbers are padded. Anyone that knows ANYTHING about the history of Michigan football knows their first seasons they were traveling to play essentially pick up games and counting them as wins, not to mention the fact that they were delayed in their entrance to the NCAA b/c they did not want to force football players to attend the university.
I'd look more towards recent history... remember Yale and Harvard USED to be great too.
Ohio State won the B1G tourney getting almost nothing from Thomas... Don't sleep on them next year. While Thomas was a great player he was just as likely to go 0-12 and shoot them out of a game as he was to keep them in one.
Also assuming a long term deal in the NFL means anything... see Peyton Manning's long term deal in Indy, voided a year later, see Asomugha's long term deal in Philly, voided after two years... I could go on. New England has always put the team ahead of individuals... I will be the bank Tom Brady isn't the starting QB at 40.
It is the last of the boring big circle stadiums. While it isn't "that old" it is that dated! Professional sports are first and foremost a business, and a dated stadium can cost you not only free agents (salary capped league, same money more amenities somewhere else) but more importantly it can cost you very valuable events a la the BCS playoffs.
The only move that Elway has made that I disagree with is the hiring of John Fox... the guy has NEVER been a good coach. At the time that the Broncos hired him they had the second worst record in the NFL, Fox's team was the only one worse.
With the run, run, run, punt Fox offense in place the Broncos will be watching Super Bowls from home for the foreseeable future.
In related news John Fox would lose to the Ravens again... the guy is and has always been an AWFUL coach! Good luck to the team that gets Mike McCoy, enjoy two years of awful and another coaching search soon!
The issue is that it was built right before the modern stadiums... it was sort of the last big round boring concrete stadium. Everything since has had more personality, more amenities, more attraction to the stadium itself. Blank has been trying to build something new since he bought the team.
SI you suck! Stop putting Magic Johnson under the Orlando Magic! Speaking from one of the four Orlando Magic fans still around, it is annoying to see Lakers news in my news feed!
It was a 100% CLEAN HIT on Schaub, as was the play before which was also flagged. The issue is that players don't strap their helmets on properly, which leads to injury. No idea why the NFL has not yet adopted the NCAA's new rule, no helmet means you are not only removed from the current play, but the next play as well.
The Ryan Anderson trade really showed that Orlando is giving up on contending any time soon. Howard has handcuffed the team, I'd say they are better off playing out Dwight's last year and just knowing there is a 2014 lottery pick in your future. Any trade would just build this team up to be a fringe 8-seed with the collection of half decent players.... So far I'm not so impressed with the 30 year old GM

Yeah... guys like Sully don't translate in the NBA.... Two-time All-American, who went to the Final Four WITH the same back issues... as for the comment earlier, the ONLY report of back issues came from the doctor in Chicago, which was refuted by Sullinger and his family after MULTIPLE opinions otherwise... maybe it is time for you to get on another topic...
Sully doesn't have a bad back... he had ONE doctor say that he had a bulging disk, Sully was a 2 time All-American and led his team to the Final Four. Big Baby lived up to his nickname and was a whiny **** in Orlando last year. Boston got lucky, more than one team will regret passing on Jared's talent.
AGREED! The NBA has selected their champion well before this series... Sad, b/c if these teams played without the help of the officials I don't think Miami would come within 10 of OKC any night
Should have moved on that faster... Otis Smith would have likely given Howard up for Jamison, unfortunately for you the Magic SHOULD hire a GM with half a brain this time...
