I'd take the Notre Dame job over anything you can find in the NFL. I mean NFL coaches usually only last about 2-3 years with a team before they get the hook.

A couple of good seasons and you can stay at a school for 20+ years... not to mention the money is about the same.

Gruden is a great coach, I mean he was good for around 9-10 wins every year in TB and I never saw them as a very talented team. Give him two years with Charlie's team and they might actually matter again.

He is a great pitcher when he is healthy... and he is going to sign for cheap b/c he wants to be in Atlanta.... So, for the right price I'd give him 3 years.

Would have been better to rock a Brady jersey and say something about being OWNED by him... but yeah, to wear a division rival jersey? That never ends well. I know if I saw anyone from the Broncos wearing a Rivers jersey joking about how they wanna be a winner for a change they would be run out of town.

Pryor went to Ohio State b/c he DOES NOT want to play WR... had he gone to Michigan he would have run their spread offense, and been taken in the 4th or 5th round as a "wildcat-guy"... he felt that coming to Ohio State he could learn how to be more of a Pro-Style passer. Now that isn't going to happen overnight.

Has Pryor been the best thing for OSU?... not so much
Did he make the wrong call going there?.... He still has 2 years, if he can learn to run this offense there is still hope that by the time he graduates he will be a top teir QB. Remember the guy is a true Soph, to expect someone that young to come in, win every game and be a heisman guy or he is a bust... well that's just never going to happen.

had the "fluke pass" not happend (and I'll go with poor Defense over fluke), then the Bungals would have won on an Orton trip. The drive before the Cincy TD Orton tripped over his own shoelaces knocking Denver out of FG range, which would have made the game 9-0 and none of this matters. The point being, it isn't like Cincy beat up on the Broncos and lost to one play, they were lucky to be in the game at the end at all.

yet another person that doesn't pay enough attention to know what you are talking about. Shanahan hasn't delt with RB's or his O-line EVER, he hadn't called a play since 1999... the o line coach and RB's coach are still there from last season (the RB coach has been there since the glory days of Davis).... so Shanahan had as much to do with this team's running game as the DB coach.

Once Hudson comes back the Braves will have 6 quality starting pitchers and zero power in their lineup (when your leadoff man leads the team in HR's that is just sad). Like you said everyone needs pitching, so why not go get that pop in your lineup that you need?

Well he could play for the Pats for a year too... I mean if we are just throwing things out there.

Here is why Denver IS his best option. Chicago has alread said they have ZERO intrest in Marshall (Not to mention Cutler without an O line, RB or any WR's will get you 7 wins TOPS!). Haven't heard anything about NYG so i'll let that go.

But the pottom line is that Marshall wants LONG TERM NOW and wants to get PAID NOW... Denver may be the only team willing to do that. You see with any other team they would have to likley give up a 1st round pick and a starter, THEN pay a troubled player big money... that just is not going to happen.

His best chance is in Denver... nobody else is going to sign this guy long term... He is good, maybe worth the money if he stays out of trouble. Denver should give him a 5 year deal that they can opt out of as soon as he gets in trouble again.

actually Shannahan had NOTHING to do with the RB's, the fact that he had the same O-line coaches and the same RB coach his entire time in Denver shows something... and oh yeah, those guys are STILL THERE

Actually Denver kept the RB coach that they have had this entire time. Shanahan hasn't call plays in Denver since the 90's and NEVER gave special attention to the RB's. So no the RB factory days may not be over.
