Roy wants to be in charge, he doesn't want JUST the coaching job. He's good at it in Quebec City with HIS junior team cause he's co-owner, GM AND head coach. He has a say in all aspects. Remember the Canadiens intervieweed him for coaching job?!? part of the problem : he wants a say in all aspects. I can't blame him, but most NHL teams DON'T want that, they want more of a seperation from the GM and the Coach.. too much to do for one person, and Roy is a control freak.

All that to say, i'd be shocked if he gets the Avs gig as coach.

"still be in play" as in..... he's playing for them now!!!

Iginla in anything other then red is going to take some getting used to...

it'd be better then being a Leafs fan... but yes, it's comically pathetic to be paying that kind of money to a schlup.. i get it, he's a joke, but again, so are the Maple Laughs

TRADE BAIT!!!!
Posted Monday January 14, 2013, About: Habs make Gomez vanish
sadly, the Canadians have two on that list!
Posted Monday January 14, 2013, About: Habs make Gomez vanish
they should have just burried him in the minors, keep him around in case **** gets worse then it has been for them, incase of a slew of injuries, something, but buying him out doesn't make much sense...

Look, i hated this contract just as much as every other frustrated Habs fan does/did, but to waste the money buying him out to stay home, might as well keep him on skates for a half a damn season!
Posted Wednesday November 14, 2012, About: Can someone else play for the Cup? Yes
except this is a website linking to CBC.CA another website... so does that make it a waste of pixels?

btw, this should be enough for owners of power teams tob reak from the NHL and start their own league, screw Bettman, and screw the southern markets that they wind up keeping afloat anyways by way of profit sharing. it's sickening
Posted Monday October 22, 2012, About: Bettman's first instinct: Close the league
the truth is, sooner or later the REAL owners, the "powerhouse owners" as they're refered to,will break from the rest and attempt either to replace Bettman, or to start something new all together. Bettman has a stronghold on the teams that get money from those "powehouse" markets, he also gets an automatic vote of confidence from ****-market teams like Pheonix. Any team getting any sort of subsidies from the NHL is going to vote in line with said NHL management, it's just that simple! Sooner or later someone like Geoff Molson will lose it and say something. He's a young owner looking to make MONEY, not sit around and support crappy market cities!
Posted Thursday October 04, 2012, About: Is Colby Armstrong good enough for Montreal?
wow, there isn't sh%t to write about when you're rehashing old stories about Colby Armstrong being picked up by Montreal and released by Toronto.. something that happened July 1st!!!

*YAWN*
Posted Tuesday October 02, 2012, About: Dark days ahead for NHL as talks end with no progress
these ass clowns should agree "for one season, lets meet exactly half way between where both sides are at this exact moment in time.. lets meet again the day after the cup is awarded and keep hashing something out"

****, if you have to do it yearly, but assure the fans that the seasons won't be on the blocks each time, then DO IT FOR THE **** FANS!!!
Posted Friday September 21, 2012, About: A modern-day WHL?
while it'll never happen, it'd be GREAT to see the players association change their name to just "Professional Hockey Players association" (ditch the National Hockey League part) and offer to start a new league on their own. They collectively have enough money to create new teams on their own and to rent our local arenas to put on games and let the fans show up for pennies on the dollar.

THAT would really put the vice on the owners, to see these guys playing for nearly nothing filling up venues for fans to watch quality hockey. The owners would go ****!

Clearly the city doesn't give a rats ass about the team... let's go, let's go, let's go.. move them to a market that wants a team already!
Posted Friday June 29, 2012, About: Price now quick to sign?
BTW... here's a far-fetched theory.. (a tongue in cheek one)

Marty Brodeur hired Pat Brisson as an agent (his first ever agent cause he used to self-represent or have his dad represent) Now that he has an agent, what's stopping his dad from talking to the Habs pre-free-agent season?!? Marty hasn't been shy to say that he loves Montreal, he is after FROM montreal! Imagine being able to bring him in instead of over-hyped Price?!?
Posted Friday June 29, 2012, About: Price now quick to sign?
NOT WORTH IT!!! (and i'm a Montreal fan)

1) Price is no Quick
2) Price is over-rated
3) Price can't hold a lead (as seen COUNTLESS times this last season with late game blow outs)
4) Price can't hold a lead (in a series, look at the Boston series where he had a 2 game win lead.. BLEW IT)
5) Price is no Quick!!! Don't compare them, cause they don't compare!!!
6) Price is NO QUICK!!!
7) PRICE IS NO QUICK!!!!!

can i say it enough? Price is OVERRATED!!! He hasn't lived up to pressure. The best Montreal did while Price has been with the team is when Price was on the BENCH and Halak was winning all the games! I honest to god don't understand the hard-on people have with Price, he's NOT THAT "great!" like people make him out to be!!!
Posted Monday June 11, 2012, About: Brodeur stands ground after 'punch'
Ducks 2007 i believe?
Posted Tuesday June 05, 2012, About: Thomas gearing up for Olympic run?
1) he's a hypocrite about his beliefs, supporting a political party (the Tea Party and GOP are hand in hand) that supports the idea that "contracts can't be broke.. so we HAVE to pay out the big bankers!" but now he has no qualms ignoring a contract and just taking time off for the fun of it.
2) he's doing it cause he doesn't want to get traded
3) he's NOT a team player, this move leaves his team out to dry!
4) he's got a sick hope that the NHL doesn't return to the olympics, and this would allow HIM to be the goalie for the Olympics
5) he's a greedy ****. I used to like him, then he got all egotistical and cocky. Too bad a few wins got to his head so much!
Posted Monday June 04, 2012, About: Underwhelming favorites for Canadiens job?
1) the "article" is clearly from Toronto... two sentences of god knows what. Not sure anyone can call that English. "Keep hearing" is not the start to a sentence. Who keeps hearing? The author? is it a question, a statement, an observation?!?
2) Therrien better not get the job, nor should Roy honestly, he's too hot tempered.
3) Bring back Carbo! He only got dismissed of the job the first time so that Gainey could feed his own ego!
4)The Habs TOTALLY missed the boat on a coach like Bob Hartley... give it a few years, he won't do well in Calgary and Montreal might wind up looking for someone again if they go with either Therrien or Roy
Posted Wednesday May 16, 2012, About: Coaching candidates in Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton
SIMPLE!!! Cause Gainey thought he could do something special in the playoffs and then say "see what i did in the playoffs once i took over!" it was ALL about Bob's ego.. and i've had people say Bob didn't have an ego.. let me point you to one thing to cement the argument : his number retirement night. He got dressed up like he was going to play the game and skated around the rink during the applause!!! it was SOOO akward, cause normally players show up in a suit and tie and act humble, not like Gainey did. He has a massive ego and it got in the way of doing a good job!
Posted Wednesday May 16, 2012, About: Room for Crosby, Staal and Malkin?
people crack me up with the "Crosby would never get traded"

History : Gretzky... look it up. ANYTHING, yes ANYTHING, is possible.

Lets call a spade a spade, Crosby would fetch a LOT on the trading block, and he's a massive health risk with that rattling brain in there! One more good hit and he could just be realistic and retire!!
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: Coaching candidates in Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton
Carbonneau is going to get hired, by SOMEONE, this season, just hoping it's Montreal that has class enough to bring him back and say sorry for Bob Gainey's ego!
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: Coaching candidates in Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton
Montreal : bring back Guy Carbonneau and bring in Larry Robinson as his assistant, keep Conneyworth around as a thank you for SCREWING him on the deal earlier.. Robinson has said he'd come back to Montreal in less then a heartbeat, and he and Guy are good friends and former teammates.

as for Calgary and Edmonton... meh...
