Odom is not the problem.. maybe being too soft inside is. The Laker Championship teams of the past have always had a guy who would grab 12-15 rebounds per game, banged in the middle, and just all out hussled to grab looseballs and even get in other guys faces and do some spitting at opposing players to let them know that this was going to be fight.... this current Laker team doesn't even have a guy who is willing to step in the lane and take a charge! The championship teams of the past have always had a guy like that to bring that toughness and work ethic to the game- the Lakers of the 80s that won had Kurt Rambis- not a star- but a picture of a hard worker..... the early 90s Laker teams had AC Green.... the later 90s team had Robert Horry... this current team doesn't have the type of player anywhere... but the Celtics have several such as Posey and Perkins...

What they NEED is a tough powerforward worker-someone who would bang in the paint for rebounds, play defense, and just hussle and dive for loose balls... the championship teams have always had that... This current Laker team has NO ONE LIKE THAT.... the need someone like the Championship teams of the past have had..... ie Kurt Rambis in the 80s.... AC Green in the early 90s.... Robert Horry in the later 90s.....
