if Philly get Seitz then he might actually stand to see some solid PT... Knighton looked good for NER when Reis was hurt last season.... Le Toux and Moreno look to be Philly's starting front runners... with Zimmerman as depth and a youthful prospect....

overall, it certainly looks suspect... wonder what Nowak has up his sleeve

i think i'll give Nowak the benefit of the doubt on this.... wait to see what unfolds

at first appearance it looks like he did terrible, but im guessing (as you alluded to at the end) that Nowak has some names coming....

what we must take from this is he picked players who were cheap... not a bad idea... picked up a couple of decent players in Moreno, Knighton and Le Toux followed up by some prospects in Myrie and Zimmerman... of course i know NOTHING about Myrie but Klopas seemed rather high on him, enough to sign him... wonder if Nowak and Klopas were talking.... b/c Banner or Lowry would have been the smarter picks (cheap and experienced)

congrats on #100

edu didnt have the best showing with the nats prior to the injury... Clark is currently on fire and set to make the move to a better league then SPL... both players would be fine, but given current form, i'd take Clark (seeing as Edu is injured and not fit)... HOPEFULLY Edu is game fit and get some games with Rangers before the WC.... if so i am certain he'd be included

Jones is a "we'll have to wait and see" player for me....

Torres and MB would be a good fit IMO... but Torres tends to sit back more as a CM, hence why a pairing of him and Clark/Edu would be a bit redundant... while torres is built and plays differently, if your CMs sit back to far, your offense wont work well.. MB could push forward... which he's been doing recently and has looked good doing so...

Adu is NOT going to happen, b/c he only fits into the winger spot in Bob's formation.... which might be good, but he wont be included until he finds PT at the club level... his spot is too deep to get a free ride like Pearce did....

becknuts haters dont come out the woodwork, we post on a regular basis... i am tired of all the becknuts topics, and wish FN would stop posting them....

PMS b/c he's not the captain?? he rightfully deserved to be captain... which he rightfully was this season.... he has been their best player since arriving in LA....

as for saying he'll never be where Becknuts is... i would gladly take LD over Becknuts on both the Fire and the USMN... neither needs a specialist, and LD seems more complete as a player (offensively and defensively)... nothing against becknuts in this case, he can certainly pin point a pass, FK or cross like no one else, but there are aspects of his game both on and off the field i dislike

Armas would foul you hard just to let you know he was there... but he also did well getting in the attack

personally i think this is where he's most dangerous... have said for YEARS that LD is not a forward nor a CM, he's a winger.... we need to figure out how to utilize him?? i think we do this quite well

lol, so you want to put Edu and Jones in the center??

im sorry, id start MB over both.....

MB and Torres would be a good duo... Edu might be healthy, but he would have to fight against Clark, Feilhaber, and Torres... it could be possible that BB takes MB, Edu, Clarke, & Torres, including Feilhaber as a winger (seeing thats where he tends to play for club)... still with how well clark has been for the US recently, its unlikely....

Jones hasnt played for the US, in fact he hasnt played in how long?? until he suits up for the US in a friendly (hoping this is his chance against Holland) i cant see him finding a spot on the WC roster...

Howard, LD, Gooch, Davies are some obvious missing players....

then you tack in Marshall and Demerit who would have played if not injured....

all of a sudden your depth in the backline has dwindled... personally i would have kept Spector and Dolo out wide, and put Conrad or another CB with Boca...

there are some obvious holes that need filling, but i take these friendlies with a grain of salt...
