All I want is for him to be patient, and, let things flow. He doesn't have to win the game. Just manage it, and, not make silly mistakes.
AMEN! to that. Truer words have ne'er been spoken.
He has ruined a once-proud franchise.
Agree 100 percent.
I still find it hard to believe that Tony Stewart wants this malcontent as his teammate in 2009.
Heh, it does make me wonder what might happen if Newman did pop off his mouth about Tony's new operation, like he has about Penske lately...LOL
Coach Davis rebuilding the program at Carolina would be a big boost to the ACC. A solid football program there benefits the league.
His comments were made out of frustration? That is utter crap. This was no mistake. Not by any means. He knew full good and damn well what he was saying. He knew the weight those words carried.
Personally, I DO NOT respect him for 'manning up' and apologising. His words were calculated, and meant to be hurtful, IMHO. I felt it was an attempt on his part to besmirch the Coach's name and reputation. Accusing someone of racism, especially a person in Coach Van Zant's position, can ruin their career, both at WVU and elsewhere.
I'll tell you this, if I were Mr Van Zant, I would bring him in front of the administration, and DEMAND he be suspended from the football team for a few games. Give him a chance to see just what the consequences can be for falsely accusing somebody of something without proof of said offense.
Pat White should be ashamed for what he did. Spending some time away from the football field would drive home just how serious falsely accusing another of something like that can be.
Dale Jr was right to get himself away from that sinking ship. If Martin Truex is smart, he'll do the same.
JMHO...Martin Truex Jr would be a better choice to join SHR.
Heh, I had forgotten about that. Harrington has not exactly set the NFL on fire, either. has he?
I really felt that Leftwich was overrated when he first came into the NFL, and nothing he's done has changed my mind. If anything, this little episode with the Titans only bears this out.
I know, dream on...
What has not been discussed is, what if Pat White is WRONG? Then he will have smeared a decent man's name for no reason. He should be suspended from the team for it, too. Those are some very, very harsh allegations to make about anybody. If it turns out he is wrong, he should ssuffer equal consequences to what the Coach should if its true.
Well for many years now, FSU has been pointed to as a renegade program, and PSU was not. Now that its been shown that PSU has just as many off the field problems, some folks are going to take their shots at Joe Pa and the program.
