Another S.I. exclusive here on T&R news.....and in other news....VW will be joining the NASCAR ranks by submitting a New VW Beetle (Car of Today/Tomorrow) as it's car for the 2010 season. A joke obviously, just like S.I. Has anyone other than me noticed that S.I. is not even a magazine anymore, but a small pamphlet of sports .....shorts?! ESPN is reducing them to a "Non-entity" in the sports info market.
Posted Wednesday November 18, 2009, About: Federer 'midway' through career
It is a shame that still resonates to this very day that Bjorn Borg retired at such a young age. Unlike Federer (who plays in a time of weak opponents), Borg played against some of the best the era had to offer. To be honest, if Borg had played (and his skills were updated to the present time obviously, racket and style) in this era, Federer would be just an after thought.

Holmgren to San Francisco, unless the Bay Bridge can't be guaranteed to hold his weight.
Posted Wednesday October 28, 2009, About: Ex-Packers mad at Favre
Just about as dumb a comment as you will find on FN. THE ONLY reason they didn't repeat was do to the fact they didn't show up until the week of the game. Failure to get acclimated in 80+ degree heat (after playing in sub temps in GB), had the team "gassed" by half time. Many (most everyone that is...) agree the failure to let the players get used to the 50+ degree differential cost them the game.
Posted Wednesday October 28, 2009, About: Ex-Packers mad at Favre
Sounds like memory loss on both sides of the argument. Yours...and Favres. If you can't remember 1996-97, then why comment? The following year (the year the Packers lost to the Broncos in the SB) the Packers were predicted to go 16-0 (predicted by the dolphins of the '72 team as a matter of FACT), and were probably just as good as the '96 team. Facts are facts except for those who know them, and remember them.

The rule states that "no material or device shall be used to improve or degrade the playing surface or other conditions and give one player or team an advantage."

The exception is a kicking tee for kickoffs. Otherwise, it is a live-ball foul and a 5-yard penalty.
Posted Monday October 12, 2009, About: Brewers won't shop Fielder
If I'm not mistaken (I may be), P.F. was actually 30 pounds lighter this year. Perhaps next year he will be another 30 pounds lighter, and that much quicker on the trigger. 60 HR's, .325 BA, OBP 10% higher...etc. , may be just around the corner. We shall see.
Posted Thursday August 27, 2009, About: Vikings starters back Favre
If they want the ball, then they might want to lie about it. Wait till week 8, and let's see if Favre is *arting dust.

Hmmm, and reverse discrimination.....a figment of the "boardgames" vivid imagination?

Posted Friday July 17, 2009, About: Bucs interested in Favre?
"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers say they're unaware of a rumor that they might be interested in free-agent QB Brett Favre if he can't come to terms with the Vikings."

Sooooo, why is this comment here then? WTF? Oh yeah, I forgot, SI is itself a Truth or Rumor!!
Posted Tuesday July 14, 2009, About: Jackson may ask Vikings for trade
Tarvaris Jackson who? Brett Favre what? Minnesota when? Starting QB where? How and why did this happen? The BF circus is in town, and setting up the "big top" in Minneapolis!
Posted Thursday July 09, 2009, About: Brewers to make pitch for Halladay
Spam X9.......The crew will never win a World Series. Thats pretty much a given. Then again, the Packers won SB 31 ............
Posted Thursday July 09, 2009, About: Vikings customizing playbook for Favre
I heard something about Michael Jackson dying. I never realized that "Favre-Hole" was bigger than MJ.....WOW! ****.
Posted Wednesday June 17, 2009, About: Vikings want Favre's decision before camp
Lame......I mean SERIOUSLY lame SI. If I was the vikings, I would wait until Favre comes crawling back to them, have him beg, and then tell him to "....go back to that hole you crawled out of in Mississippi...." That would actually be an interesting SI T&R worth printing.
Posted Sunday June 14, 2009, About: Source: Favre's Vikings deal heavy on incentives
As a season ticket holder once told me......"When that @#$%^&* 'r shows up at Lambeau during dear hunting season, he's mine!"......Wisconsinites take their deer hunting seriously I think.
Posted Saturday June 06, 2009, About: Zambrano won't re-sign with Cubs
Last time I checked this was still America.....land of the selfish, egotistical, and I want it all now country. With that in mind, I would think dip **** Zambo would want to leave the game with a 100 mil. in his pocket. He can then take his sorry act back across the border.........
Posted Monday June 01, 2009, About: Nadal's loss greatest upset ever?
I see the "GOAT" has reared it's ugly head again. Who cares, any time an upset is rendered this goat crap starts flying. Just enjoy the game/match and get on with your life.
Posted Thursday May 28, 2009, About: Tarkenton: Favre's despicable
Anybody who says "the Packers owed Favre" and "Ted Thompson is a jerk" is a complete moron. Favre owes EVERYTHING to the packers for rescuing him from drugs, alcohol, and the Atlanta Falcons bench. We wouldn't be having this discussion about a furture $%&*'d up HOF'r if he wasn't saved by the previous packer administration. Favre would have probably been long gone out of football as a complete bust. Fran, your the man........thanx for your 2 cents worth of LOGIC as it's apparent a few FN goons are brain damaged.
