The Lakers weren't favored in that game. And even if they were, it would be good payback for the refs winning the Nuggets game 2 and not allowing the Lakers to come back in game 4.

Kobe doesn't get superstar calls like LeBron does. Kobe always gets in foul trouble on bogus calls. For example, he got 2 fouls in the 1st quarter against the Blazers and they were both terrible calls. The refs screwed the Lakers out of a win against the Blazers the other night. Terrible reffing. LeBron gets every call. If he gets blocked, misses a layup, or gets the ball stolen from him then the refs will automatically call a foul. And on defense he's allowed to goaltend and foul all he wants.

Its a good move for the Lakers, but they should have given him a 4-year deal worth a base of $40 million + $1 million per mark he passes per year (over 70 games played, over 15 ppg, over 10.5 rpg, over 52% FG, over 2.3 bpg). So if he does all those things (which he could easily), then he would be making $15 million a year. Since he probably wouldn't be able to do all 5 it would be more like $13 or $14 million a year. And if he did all 5 then he would definitely be worth $15 million.

Stephon Marbury should go to the Lakers once he is cut. If he would play defense then he would be a perfect triangle point guard. And he can give the Lakers another option on offense.

For all the people that are mad about the Pau Gasol deal because they think Jerry West has loyalties are wrong. Was Jerry West even GM when the trade went through? And McHale only traded Garnett to the Celtics because he wanted to help them. He was getting a way better offer from the Lakers.
