As a cubs fan i agree pie's time was up olson has been rumored as a padre favorite since the winter meetings maybe its a precursor......but anyways pie was proabably not gonna make the roster so this trade makes sense and i do agree that the o's outfield will be one of the best.......pie was known here more for his better defense then anything else.

well if it were that easy i would agree with chitownplaya but i dont see any of that happening you would have way too many giant contracts with ramirez, soriano. texeira, peavy, zambrano, and fukudome......if anything i see them trading lee to pads for gonzo then that would give them some flexibilty to go after another pitcher if dempster does not sign back w us

Temoc was a sparkplug for Mexico...........all fans appreciated his skills, he was probably the smartest player on the field when he was in the starting lineup I will miss him but i will still get to see him up in bridgeview with my fire......on a side note i saw something about sanchez somewhere and wanted to say this..........Ochoa has great reflexes but he is not ready and they have scored some idiotic goals that should have never gone in.......idk if you remember the final against Pachuca where he let those 2 terrible goals in........he will be the best one day but he needs more time maybe one more year for sanchez then you turn to memo

Contrary to ozzies beliefs or yours us gov. most cubs fans dont hate on the sox or really care you won in 05. Do you care when anyone else other then the sox win the world series i dont believe you do. the only reason cubs fans will talk **** to a sox fan is because they started it first. just root for your team its all in your head cub fans are not out to get you.

fukudome on the bench hoffpair in rf dero at second.......michah showed he can hit big league pitching and i believe he can do what soto did down the stretch last year which was amazing as for the brewers fans even if zambrano is scratched for a start or out a while the cubs have a better staff than you anyways so no worries cubs will be in the playoffs either way division or wildcard it doesnt matter they are too good not win the national league.

jaque jones was a groundball machine with a good glove and a terrible arm....he struck out too much he had a good 06 but 07 he was terrible hence he has no job........fukudome has so many fans cause he started awesome..... and we all know lou is the type of coach that plays guys who are hot edmonds n johnson are hot right now as well as fontenot so he should sit him down with sori edmonds/rj and dero n fontenot at 2b.......im not sure if rj plays rf cant remember him there

Matt Cain is awesome numbers dont show but thats cause of his terrible run support he played the cubs twice and shut them down twice i was watching the game and commentators said hes gotten 2 runs or less like in 80% of his starts dating back to last year.......if he gets traded to a good team with offense like the phills he might turn out to be the best one that has gotten traded this year yes better then cc and harden i would rather have cain then harden on my team just cause of his dl issues and the cubs bad luck

i dont think its too much lohse as it is duncan doin a good job...........lohse i dont think would be havin the same season somewhere else.......i dont like Marquis but what do they always say in baseball you can never have enough picthing so just keep him there throw him out there once in a while hopefully u win half his starts and u worry about the playoffs where he once again is left off the roster and let things take care of themsleves in the winter meetings.

this team will not win in the playoffs with that rotation.........and harden now becomes the best pitcher available.......burnett is ok and a large improvement over marshall or marquis or whoever the cubs have in the tail end of rotation.......it would take a lot more to get both roberts and cabrera those players would only get u one if that.......so take that chance w harden and give up what it takes ......weve waited a 100 years do cubs really want to keep planning for the future (not trading prospects) its about now so do it
