You guys are all mad. AS a REAL Tampa native and enthusiast, this is a huge deal for us. Yes its a lot, yes it's monumental, but Vinny is the best thing to happen to Tampa since Warren Sapp held the Lombardi trophy. I know the irony, he moved on. Bottom line, we've never seen a player with the caliber Vinny plays at. We never have had a Wayne Gretzky, oiler's fans, we never had a Bobby Orr, bean-town fans... this guy is our franchise. I was extremely pissed when they sent Boyler to San Jose, but in solidifying #4 in Tampa and one day putting his jersey in the rafters next to the '04 Stanley Cup Banner, it will be worth it. Also, watch us this year, we got offense, a young energized D and solid goaltending. TB finally on Top, Represent Longoria, Kaz, adn Navi

Not long ago, it looked like these cats, Koules and Barrie, were going change this hockey team for the better. And at the time it looked like we were going the right way. But after so many trades and excessive contract negotiations we fall into the same loop that killed us before. Yes, we just got some great stars in stamkos, malone, and prospal now that he;s back in the mix, but good god, how are we going to contend as a one deminsional offensive unit. If Danny were to read this, he needs to know that he was the best, most revered leader on our team. He was a goal scorer and the best experienced defensemen we had. I think the owners have way overstepped their bounds, and don't expect to see the crowds they wanted now that this team is totally FUBAR
Posted Monday June 30, 2008, About: Why Minnesota traded Rolston
Some of you guys got to keep up, 35mil divided by 7yr is 5. That 5mil for Malone, it does sound steep but this new ownership is taking all who need a home. With Malone on the second line with Stamkos and possibly Rolston, that's two lines that are set to kick ****. Vinny isn't going anywhere, he belongs and will stay in Tampa, god blesss him for it. Its TB's time for a return, we traded away our second and third line, and lost our goaltender and senior defensemen to FA at the end of '04. Now we have owners who have a vision and the funds to make it work. Machiavelli "The ends justify the means" Mark those words
