Even with all those guys healthy theyll barely make an 8th seed or so.. and player histories show thats highly unlikely even

and who would put KG as the best SF? KG is a solid paint protector and offensive post player. He has a good jump shot for a PF but he wouldnt be as much of a threat if he only took perimeter jump shots... and his defense would not be as dangerous on the perimeter.. He could not keep up with smaller, quicker SFs as well.. Kobe played a lot of SF alongside a combination of Fisher, Farmar, and Vujacic in the finals.. can KG keep up with Kobe's explosiveness off the perimeter?

I have no doubt that Kevin Garnett is a GREAT power forward/center and would deserve to be on this kind of a list.. but as a SF? I guess if he was going for best forwards.. KG and TD would be great but to say KG is a top 5 sf is a bit bizarre.

Manu has a strong spirit and isnt afraid to oppose Pop and the Spurs coaching staff.. expect to see him in the Olympics
Posted Monday July 07, 2008, About: Lakers waiting out Vujacic, Turiaf
There were times last year where Walton looked like the second best player on the lakers behind Kobe.. i agree he looked lost in this year's lineup but I think its worth a shot of waiting to see how he shapes up this year.. Hes a very smart player and passer so he could turn out to be a very strong contributor next year
Posted Monday July 07, 2008, About: Cavs among Maggette pursuers
Just cz it comes out on ESPN.. doesnt mean its going down.

Maggette might be a better fit in Boston than most people realize.. Sure he could come off the bench for Ray Allen but Rays getting old and will need Maggettes younger, fresher legs off the bench for some instant offense.. especially noting Boston's occasional droughts. He would get some quality minutes sub-ing for Ray and Pierce who need to rest their legs more. He can even come in for Rondo at times and push Ray at the point cz hes a good enough handler to take care of pg duties.. PG Allen, SG Maggette, SF Pierce, PF Garnett, C Perkins.. thats a VERY scary lineup right there

I hate to say all this considering im a huge lakers fan.. but its true
Posted Monday July 07, 2008, About: Lakers waiting out Vujacic, Turiaf
Are you serious right now? Vujacic is coming off a good season.. especially off often limited playing time which is extremely difficult when trying to find the sort of rhythm that Vujacic needs. EVERY championship team has quality 3-point knock down shooters. Lakers have that in Vujacic who will further develop his outside shooting and be that needed threat to space the floor.

I love Turiaf as well. Hes that spark off the bench thats also vital to a championship team. When things are going slowly for the Lakres, Turiaf can spark a team on or off the court. He can get caught him in his passion for the game and commit silly fouls.. but who can get mad at him for that? Look at KG...

I agree with what most people are saying about Turiaf but please do not overvalue Vujacic. Defense is a lot about that passion and dedication that Vujacic clearly shows. He did a very decent job chasing around Ray Allen and will only develop.. as will Turiaf.. both are still young players who have time to get better. I believe that both players, especially Turiaf, are being a bit underpaid, but they will have plenty of time to and im sure they will make a lot more money in the future.
