As a warriors fan, I say its worth signing this guy for the minimum if the Celtics do not just to take a bite out of the Blazers' finances.

Anyway, all you closet racists worried about 18 year old black guys getting paid millions should take a look at Europe where kids go pro real early. Matter of fact US players might start going there out of high school. Why give a year of free labor away to some college?

We just saw a finals with two teams led by guys who BOTH came straight to the league from high school. Many of the best players in the league came from high school. Darius Miles getting big contract(s) was because owners decided to pay him, PERIOD.

I'm not sure about sports but Kevin McHale is by FAR the consistently worst NBA GM ever. Even Isiah doesn't come close since at least he knows how to draft.

Boy Brand sure did have to take a day or two to think about it though huh? Turning down an extra $25 mil or so is pretty hard to do, even if it means you are going to get to stay with your team, play with a better team, etc.

Lets see what he chooses.

This looks like damage control by warriors management but Brand is probably worth it. If Arenas' market value is 125 Brand is a steal at 90. Overall, Brand can go toe to toe with the best 4 men in the league. Its something the Warriors haven't had for a long time.

I doubt Brand will go for it though, he's got to want to stay in LA with B-Diddy at the point. Worst case for the Warriors at least they make the Clips pay a bit for their maneuver of getting Baron.

Also....they better lock Monta up before somebody tries to steal him, too.
