Elvis - that one won't be on the internet. I was channeling Fast Times at Ridgemont High." You know, the bathroom scene with Phoebe Cates walking in.

Oh, and that's ineligible - sorry for the misprint.

I am signing off and for those distraught USC fans - seek therapy and rest in the knowledge that it was a nice run. Oh, and regarding Reggie Bush: Give that Heisman back and mail the AP NC trophy to LSU. We all know that he was ineligable for taking money; just admit it. You just got pasted by Stanford - it can't get any worse, so now's the time to come clean. Enjoy your holidays!

Well, there are levels - in bandspeak, cool is not not being caught diddling yourself or speaking like Yoda....or not having serious acne.

scratch "normal" for "cool"
Posted Sunday November 15, 2009, About: Harbaugh ticks off Carroll
I am not certain, but if any band were banned, I think it would be Stanford's; that Cal game's ending was akin to being caught masterbating at a family reunion. I mean, you're going to do some crazy things to become "normal" again (if ever possible) after that posterization.

Great wordplay Elvis! My compliments!

"The Stanford band-a total no-class act."

I am sorry, but just think about this for a moment; What bandmember has such high self esteem? I mean, you're at a game dressed in the gaudiest of apparel, lamenting over the fact that, phyically speaking, you're at the shallowest end of the gene pool, all the time watching a group of less than 200 men display their Olympus sized talent before a gasping crowd of 70k or more, knowing all the while that any of them could walk into your dorm, even in the ugliest of losses - like yesterday's - and take your woman with relative ease, leaving you only with World of Warcraft as you available entertainment. And you expect Henry Kissinger-esque performance to suddenly rise, in complete solidarity, from this sort of crowd? Its like looking for a role model in a prison.

And after this year, I doubt any player will pay any heed to "One more year" drone of the fans and ignore the NFL's siren call. Taylor Mays learned yesterday what Jermaine Gresham and Sam Bradford already have learned earlier this year. GO TO THE NFL. The "stay for the program" pipe dream bandied about so often by sportwriters and fans desperately wanting to be a part of something that in reality, they know nothing about - is over. Buried. But there still exists the opportunity to take down just a couple of more before the final shovel full of dirt is reverently placed on the casket of incredible stupidity. Tebow and Spikes might join this group before season's end as well. Percy Harvin and Mark Sanchez now look like geniuses. And for all of those still living in la-la land (I point out the Vol's fans' response to being told that UT players were involved in that attempted robbery as the latest installment of such fannish farcicality) - In case you didn't get the memo - NOBODY BURNS A LOTTO TICKET. NOBODY.

Hey Pete, nobody likes a Goliath; Just ask the Gators. Universally reviled our two programs are. However, we never seem to lose to Vanderbilt. It must really suck.
Posted Friday November 06, 2009, About: Kiffin takes shot at Meyer
You can be the best coach in the world, but if you don't have the players, it doesn't matter. Kiffin knows that and Spurrier should have known that - and should have thought of that before leaving UF. UF wins because of the players the school gets. Now it takes great coach to make it work, but it doesn't happen the other way around. A Hyundai will never outrun a Ferrari, not even if Senna or Prost is driving the Korean car. Tennesse does not have geography on its side at all, not like UF, nor the cache of an elite program. Its going to be an uphill climb for the Volunteers to beat the Gators and it will never happen consistently, no matter who is coaching the Vols. Just like Oregon and USC. Ditto for Georgia. Bear said it best, "When they get a coach down there [Florida], its over for the rest of us."

Ya know, who cares where he ends up - until any of these guys prove something, they are nothing; I mean, there are 85 scholarship players allowed per team, but only 22 starting positions - DO THE MATH.
Posted Friday October 30, 2009, About: How Jacksonville kept UGA-Florida game
Geez, Vols Rule, you might be on to something; I mean, the Vols have beaten UF like, twice as much as Georgia over the last 20 years. Six times to be exact. So.......it hasn't helped you guys too much either. Here's a better idea, why don't you both go over to the ACC and we'll take Miami and Florida State.

Blah, blah, blah Georgia fans. Never was an issue for you before Spurrier arrived in Gainesville. "Oh, yes, a day trip to Jacksonville honey?" "Of course."

Now its like a trek versus a jaunt. Not much fun of late, say for the last twenty years - right?!?!

Uhhhh...that's Korny's job - to stir up things. Wilbon's too. I mean, really, when did you see sportswriters attempt to defuse a bomb? They are like terrorists - they only want to blow things up. Good for ratings and such.
Posted Tuesday October 27, 2009, About: Miss. St. coach rips replay official
Oh, and remember, 14 of those points were pick sixes - meaning that MSU's offense was worth 5 points. Just keep that in mind all of you conspiracy theorists. That was the only way for MSU to really score in this game. Florida kept MSU in this game and the refs never gave it away.
Posted Tuesday October 27, 2009, About: Miss. St. coach rips replay official
Its funny, these coaches come out and blast officials for missing calls, but hey, lets look a bit closer - Kiffin decides to go for a 45 yard field goal, running alot of time off the clock, when 1/his qb was making serious headway against the Tide's defense and 2/ Cody had already proved unblockable on a previous blocked FGA. He wasted 30 seconds that would have been better used to move ball closer and create a much better chance. He lost his nerve - again (he is definitely not a leader in any sense of the parlance), but there is always the officials to blame, right!?

Now, lets go to the MSU game; Mullen goes for a fake punt inside his own 30 against the number one defense in the land. Only a play from the ages makes this not the worst decision since, well, Ohio State trying to convert on fouth down against these same Gators in the 06 NCG.

IF both of these coaches like to blast officials for bad calls, then perhaps, they should yell at themselves just as loudly and just as publically, for their own "missed calls." Further, they should be suspended for making too many of them themselves.

These playahs need only one lesson in finances - the golden rule - never spend the principle; only the interest. Every blue blood on the east coast know this! 55m at a measly 4% ROI is an annuity of 2.2m each year!
