If Porter get fired, Sacramento ought to give him a serious look this summer. He was not the problem, the malcontent roster and cost cutting ownership were the problem.

Blake is solid, but he has a serious injury, and one that if I understand right has a tendency to reoccur. They need a solid dependable pg, not because Blake isn't good enough but because Sergio isn't and Bayless is not yet ready. And with Martell, same thing, his injury is serious, it may be a career stopper. They don't need to replace him, they need to get a piece to be insurance. I love the idea of Sergio, Frye and Raefs contract for Richard Jefferson and Ridenour or Sessions. I would prefer not to trade Outlaw but move him to backup 4 behind Aldridge, but he is in his 6th season, if that is needed it may be worth it. Ridenour is solid, though not spectacular and has played for Nate before. Sessions is better but less familiar with the system. RJ is great and would be a big step up at the 3. Batum has been good, but he is a rookie and like Bayless is not yet ready. In the summer, you could evaluate Websters issue and trade either he or Jefferson and keep the other as your main small forward, and could decide if you need to look for the long term solution at point or if Bayless is it.

Porter will take the fall......but Amare and Nash seem to believe they can finesse their way to wins......Shaq is a disruptive force for team chemistry, but he is not the problem in this case, and neither is Porter. Put Porter in Sacramento with young guys who will listen and they would be overachieving. It is the egos of the "stars" of this team that are leading them to failure.

Kerr would have been wiser trading Nash for a younger tougher point guard and teaching Amare to man up in the middle or be the next one gone. The team and the coach are incompatible and its not Porter thats to blame

If the Knicks and Nash want each other, trade him to NY for Duhon and David Lee....The Suns would be better off without this whining has been all star. I wanted him to come to my team Portland, but the last couple of weeks have made me glad he wasn't traded there.

I agree with blackhammer. Porter got Milwaukie to overachieve when he was there, and saw firsthand as a player and an assistant coach what succeeds in this league......Kerr needs to back his coach and jettison any player who doesn't listen to Porter, and yes, that includes Nash who statistically is a great PG, but if we're totally honest has never made it to the top.

Zach would be an asset to a team with a big tough defensive center, where his need of the ball and slow the pace style would complement rather than mirror the center. Zach in Chicago next to Ben Wallace could actually be an asset. Too bad he is so overpaid that no team that needs him for a role player will take on his contract.

Since Portland needs a veteran point guard and a 3, why not trade Zach Jack 1-2 2nd round picks and Magloire for RJ and Kidd? With a veteran point guard (either Billups or Kidd) the young talent in Portland would become a contender...
