We finally agree on something Billy Bob.....I detest people like you that want to fly their stupid sec banner and think their football is the greatest in the country.

The old spelling remark.........Same as waving the white flag.

I'll enjoy the Longhorns and won't need to cheer on OU, Tech, OSU or other Big 12 teams so I can feel that a championship from a team in my conference somehow makes me a winner.

Not Jose but I do own a cowboy hat and the trailer bit is way off. Can I assume your name is Billy Bob, Joe Bob or some Bob, have an eigth grade education, work at a bait shop and your wife is at least a 2nd cousin in relation? Not sure just goin with the odds.

You're right king....its obviously a lot of them and not all. I didn't mean to insinuate all sec fans have relations with their family.

Good one king......almost as good as "am not". Might take a Texan for a gun carrying redneck but hardly someone that likes to keep it close to home.

Load em up Mac.

THAT_TEXAS_BOY | 09/05/08, 12:03 PM

That's funny. I'm from Texas and have seen Clarett run but don't recall any highschool or college ball player called THAT TEXAS BOY.

Can't they find a better picture of Tony than that one? He's either got a hell of a headache or Izzy just told him he wants to come back with the Cards.

So having someone that can hit a home run at any point and that teams intentionally walk quiet a bit doesn't add any fear to an opposing pitcher. Look at the lineup and tell me that adding another power bat doesn't put more pressure on a pitcher not to add that that player has proven that he can hit a home runs with 608 in his carreer. Theres no kool-aid needed with proven facts.
Jordan: You'll Never Be Me | 08/14/08, 12:56 AM

First time I've seen feared and Griffey in the same sentence this year. Yea he's hit over 600 homeruns but that in it self won't strike fear. Griffey had a wonderful career but he is done.
Sorry, the apostrophe didn't work on the first one

You might want to look up the word "fact" before you claim Griffey can hit a homerun at any point and he adds fear to any pitcher. Those are not facts as you say you are using. That's called delusional thinking. The only proven fact you need to see is a .245 average and a significant drop in power while still playing in the best hitter's park. Please don't tell me you're depending on Griffey to try and help carry you to the playoffs.

getting Griffey is a huge plus for other hitters with his presences in a already powerful lineup.

Hey Philatron, what is embarrassing is teams that put "cheer" and "applaud" on the scoreboard, or do the wave. Have you been to Seattle lately and see what they do for Ichiro? Take a peek and get back to us!
MrMiyagiJr | 08/12/08, 02:02 PM

Got that right Miyagi. Nothing worse then thr wave

Troy Smith will set records in the CFL ... not the NFL. And im a buckeyes fan.
ClintInDFW | 08/10/08, 03:37 PM

Few QB's set records in the nfl so don't think you're walking too far out on the limb for this one.How about having a qb that can run your offense efficiently and teammates depend on. Wow, what a unique perspective.
