Adderall isn't as good as coke

they're not that great...
Posted Wednesday October 24, 2012, About: NFL's most (and least) liked player
haha, exactly. Hated by fans. Loved by peers.
Posted Wednesday October 24, 2012, About: NFL's most (and least) liked player
oh, there's no doubt, but by all accounts Vick is very well-liked by his peers (now). Same with Ray Lewis. I feel like fans (to some extent justifiably) cultivate somewhat inaccurate perceptions based on their personal biases to controversial issues when judging certain players (usually the ones with criminal misconduct).
Posted Wednesday October 24, 2012, About: NFL's most (and least) liked player
It'd be interesting to see the Most Liked Players list by the actual players. Reason I say that is because some players like Mike Vick are hated by a majority of fans (who watch things from afar), but loved by a majority of his peers (who interact with him on a daily/more regular basis). It'd also be interesting to see if Suh would be as much maligned (like Rich Incognito) as he is by the fans (who are not as privy to behind-the-scenes actions/attitudes).

A mediocre hookshot is a worse option than bulling your way to the basket which he would normally do, so teams should actually be happy about this.
Posted Thursday October 04, 2012, About: Kobe calls out 'chump' floppers
In Kobe's defense, I don't see him flop much on defense. I think that's what he's getting at.
Posted Thursday June 21, 2012, About: Harvin drama about more than money
weird how fans can't understand how these situations can be about more than just money
Posted Wednesday May 23, 2012, About: Did World Peace save his contract?
eh, he's been (more than) fine as of late. One isolated spur-of-the-moment flare-up (in the context of his recent past) against a known flopper/actor isn't that horrible (although the punishment was justified).

at least Hansborough and Stevenson bounced up after their fouls. Wade, as much as I love him, (and Harden on his MWP foul) acted a like wimps... yeah, the fouls hurt, but they're not like real injuries (e.g., ankle, ACL, knee) where you actually can't get up... the acting is getting stupid IMO.
Posted Thursday March 22, 2012, About: RG3 deserves first-pick consideration
Plus, there's the added benefit of having such an exciting playmaker as your signal caller. RG3 will sell out seats even with a rough start. I don't see Luck doing the same in a similar growing pains situation. If RG3/Luck do well off the bat, then my argument is moot, but one should plan for undesirable circumstances as well.
Posted Thursday March 22, 2012, About: RG3 deserves first-pick consideration
Hey, you never know. I'm sure there are some in the Colts' organization who are enamored with RG3 and would pick him over Luck (regardless of what we all thought at the end of the college season). It usually comes down to the GM, but people aren't always immune to hype (and RG3 is building his up considerably by performing well and doing/saying everything right). RG3 to the Colts is not as far-fetched as some of you would suggest.
Posted Monday February 13, 2012, About: Luck vs. Griffin worth debating?
Vick took the Falcons to the NFC Championship one year (beating the Packers at Lambeau along the way). That's pretty close to a Super Bowl I'd say.

...but, I understand why he's the most disliked athlete amongst housewives, sorority sisters, and teenage princesses across the U.S.

eh, Vick's a cool guy

tragic, but there's no such thing as hell (or heaven for that matter)
Posted Friday January 20, 2012, About: LeBron finally overtaking Kobe?
I'm pretty sure most people would agree that, right now, Lebron is (at least slightly) "better" than Kobe. The question is... will Lebron's career have the longevity that Kobe's has had? Once Lebron's athleticism starts to wane, will he be able to compensate as well as Kobe has with a mid-range game, post-game, ridiculous footwork, and all the other improvements to subtle parts of his game (e.g., body fakes, jump shot adjustments)?

Posted Wednesday January 18, 2012, About: The next Jordan? Only Kobe compares, says MJ
@I got the BK Kid's - so to summarize, this feeling of shock/awe you experienced with Jordan still happens with Kobe on a fairly regular basis. Too bad you don't watch enough games to see that.
Posted Wednesday January 18, 2012, About: The next Jordan? Only Kobe compares, says MJ
Honestly, I just don't think you even watch or have been to a game where Kobe played. How about the game last year where Kobe kept on hitting ridiculous jumpers over Grant Hill and any duo/trio of Suns that came to challenge him. What's with this "never!" remark? It just seems like you're offended by the fact that Kobe is even mentioned in the same sentence as your god.
