Ratings is what really matter to networks like FOX ABC/ESPN. Soccer would get great coverage if people ACTUALLY tuned in to watch it. Soccer may be the number 1 played sport among youths but that does not translate into ratings or dollars at the gate. MLS really has no direction, for years they touted building Soccer specific stadiums as their number 1 prority yet everytime I tune in to watch a game the stadiums are Barely half filled and it doesn't matter if it's L.A., Chicago, Dallas, Columbus, the fan support is not there. MLS wants to charge Major League prices for a Minor league product and nobody is buying.

Hummmm, Scared of a sport the struggles to get better ratings then sorry A-$-$ no limit hold'em on ESPN??? Please go away you pompass Euro Jack A-$-$ the truth of the matter is that Professional Soccer will always have a cult following in the US but it will never surpass th NFL, NBA, MLB, and even the NHL. Hell X-games get more coverage in the US, and who really wants to see slacker, high school drop outs rip their spleens apart doing freestyle motoX? ....wait a minute I think I do. All kidding aside though I know alot of people are turned off from soccer because of all the diving and fake injuries that plauge the game. FIFA NEEDS to give atleast 1 game suspensions to anyone that dives or fakes an injury, you have a guy who gets nicked on the shin and before you know it he goes down screaming in agony, the medical staff brings out the stretcher sprays his shin and a minute later he is flying down the pitch in full sprint? give me a break. That is why Soccer will never gain popualirity in the US.

Dodgers will not sign him, they will give him a low ball offer so they can tell their fans "hey we wanted Manny but he chose to play elswhere". And they'll go out and get some 3rd rate bench player and hold a press conference for him @ the ravine, then they'll continue to tout the "kids" they got and talk up their valuble playoff experience oblivious to the fact that the only time their "kids" actually lived up to the hype was when they had Manny in the lineup to protect them. All the while Dodger fans will keep going to games and lining the McCourts pockets with cash.

You ignorant packer fans fail to realize that Brett Favre is NOT JESUS in SHOULDER PADS! This is the the same guy that held a press conference crying! saying that he was retiring. For the past # seasons he had the Packer organization waiting is he coming back? is he retiring? So this off season he realizes that he isn't the hot topic anymore, that the organization is moving on, now he wants to come back after training camp has started? How can the Packers trust him? what if he decides "you know, my body can't take the rigors of the NFL anymore, I quit". Then he tries to force a trade to the Vikings because he wants to "show up the Packers" Did Joe Montana request a trade to the Rams to sow up the 49ers? Hell no, because Montana has class. Favre is not some innocent victim here, Brett had a chance to come back, he chose to retire, the Packers moved on without him. Brett is the one to blame here, Is Brett better then Aaron Rodgers? No question he is, but the World does not revolve around Favre, He is NOT bigger then the organization and I applaud the Packers to put him in his place.
