Ralph has done a great job of making college football relevant again in College Park. Lets not forget that we were consistently one of the worst programs since Bobby Ross left in the 80s and now we finally have something to look forward to on Saturday afternoons besides the tailgate!

The combination of Vinny Testaverde, Michael Jackson, and Derrick Alexander were, in 96-97, the # 1 passing offense in the entire league.

Vinny Testaverde was horrible. He may have teamed up w/Jackson and Alexander to form the #1 passing offense in the league - but that was only after he threw a couple of interceptions, tripped over his own feet and fumbled on a key drive to lose the game for us. Trust me, I've been a season ticket holder since 96 and we have NEVER had a QB who we could trust to win the game for us.

I believe that you guys won a superbowl with a decent Quarterback, but you didn't want to pay him at all so he left via Free Agency. Dose the Name Trent Dilfer ring a Bell?

Dilfer had very little to do w/the Ravens Super Bowl victory. That season the Ravens had Jamal Lewis and Priest Holmes at RB, a huge O line that was excellent at run blocking and the one of the best defenses ever. Dilfer was good - but certainly not worth building a team around.

Who is going to throw him the ball?

Good question...we haven't had a decent QB since the team arrived in 96. Flacco could be the guy, but my money is on Troy Smith. He has the leadership qualities you need for a QB, and his arm is pretty strong. He could end up being this year's Derek Anderson (which is a guy we should have never given up on).

I hope Cashman can land him...although the Jays would be stupid to trade him within the division.

The only pinstripes Bonds will be in are the ones on his Armani suit when he sits in court next year.

They've made absolutely zero deals that have panned out yet (although the jury is still out on Dukes and Milledge). And I'm calling it now, this Bonifacio kid will be just as bad as Bourne (the kid in Houston). Both can run but neither can hit.

No way do the Yanks give up Hughes for Laird or Salty - Hughes has too much potential to trade him for a slightly above average catcher (and that's being generous).

EastCoastKeith - quit your whining. The Yankees are the center of the baseball universe. They have the most titles, the most storied tradition, one of the better fan bases in baseball (along w/the Red Sox, Cubs and Cardinals) and they compete year in and year out. Professional ball players would love to be a part of an organization like that - which is why they're always mentioned as a possible desitination for every star in the bigs.

And no way are the Sox the center of the universe. They may have won two World Series in recent years - but so have plenty of other teams (Blue Jays in the early 90s, Twins in late 80s and early 90s, etc). But they still have a long way to go before they can take the title of "center of the universe" away from the Yanks.

Molina calls a great game and has a cannon for an arm - who cares if he can't run or hit? He'll make up for it w/his D.

I say keep all the young guys and just dump salary and Igawa on the M's for Washburn.

Yeah, the stadium is the only thing that keeps the fans coming through the gates. But at some point they'll have to field a competitive team - and that's not going to happen w/Bowden there.
Posted Thursday July 24, 2008, About: Did Nationals get fleeced?
How much longer before Bowden is fired? This guy has put together a team that would finish dead last in AAA, let alone the NL East. And he could only get 1 prospect for Rauch?!?

Stick w/Molina - he's no worse then LoDuca, Oliva and Barajas.
