Aceves would not be a good choice for a long term starter. His outings would get progressively worse and you'd ruin what they actually have, which is a strong pen. Hughes should start. Stretch him out a bit, hope Bruney can get his head out of his ass, and see what Hughes can do with t he confidence he's gained that he can get quality major leaguers out with his stuff. Jarrod washburn would help, boy it really looks like we should have bought him, er traded for last year.

I must admit. When Cash did not offer this guy arbitration, I thought it was a total **** move. I really thought this guy would get scooped up and the Yankees would recoup some picks. Well, Cash was right on this one. Abrue is a solid, proffesional hitter with what is now a slightly above-average arm, but only ok with the glove. He will wind up getting 7 milliion on a real **** team.

I know he has underperformed in Memphis. I also know he is injury prone. still i like this deal for the nets. The fact that this team is only 4 games under .500 and in playoff contention speaks to how well coached they are this year...though i still am not sure laurence frank is good coach.

Trade Damon to the White Sox, or someone else..He can lead-off and has good speed/ base-running ability at his age. Hell I would try Damon for Dye straight-up, maybe give them Melky or Gardner if necessary. If Matsui can dh field maybe once or twice a week, he will hit .300. He is a professional hitter.

You know what I am tired of hearing about this, but since Im here and Its here, why not? THank God, maybe this will put some much needed humility into that ****!! Clemens. This guy was Clemens buddy but when the feds are threatening to lock you up, and you have a family that is having a medical situation, what else can you say but the jig is up and hey we got busted and that is it. But clemens had to sue him ,and hold **** press conferences...and you know what? he was found to have been lying and we found out anyway. i would try to get some young position players back and see how they pan out in spring training...maybe ryan sweeney, jim gallagher or that martinez kid, they all play the OF,..im not under the impression we should try to hold em up for damon and melky for jenks..besides i think our bullpen can be really good next year(especially if they get a 5th and put joba in the eighth inning slot) but we desperatley need depth in the minors with everyday players, and this might Mjax along quicker too.

I dont understand, it seems they Yanks in theory should be able to package Damon and MElky together for a trade with the White Sox. It would clear the glut in the outfield and I know the Chisox want more speed and a leadoff hitter. I dont want melky or cano on the team for that matter, but im glad this deal is dead cause camerons glove is past his prime, and he cant hit, he only swings nad misses..

Texiera will get an 8 year $190 million contract. We cant sign Manny. First off, too many old, near done outfielders..WE should keep what we have and wait for Ajax to mature. They should trade Damon, or Matsui, to either the Chisox, or the Giants respectively, if they can. Manny might actually help A-rod, but I think he will rub the coaching staff(who are too uptight anyway) and some of the other palyers the wrong waY.

Cashman is terrible..and im a yankee fan. it doesnt count if you can make trades "work" when the other team is just trying to shed contracts. he has a horrible eye for pitching, they have apparently not been able to draft any position players of value, and his complexion makes ma think of cadavers. he'll be gone in two years.
