I hope the Cowboys will film a documentary of Romo preparing to watch Super Bowl XLVIII and sell it to Netflix so I can stream it just to see if my preparations are the same as his. That would be so cool!
"And I understand in an age when there was so much ego, because of the camera, that it was very important to look for that kind of player....I began to look for the kind of player that doesn't need his ego fed by stardom, but will do what he's supposed to do because he knows the game and loves the game, and will do the job that right way even when someone else gets the glory."--Bill Belichick
I'm reminded of the scene in the movie "The Replacements" where there's a discussion about finding yourself in quicksand. I think Brady spent the second half of Sunday's game in quicksand and was frustrated by his inability to escape it.
Fans of the Baltimore Colts feel your pain, bro. At least the Cards didn't fold their tents and disappear in the late night/early morning hours like a bunch of bail jumpers. Cheer up, Bidwell's can't own the team forever....can they?
@Mr Steeler, no I didn't, but I remember the hubbub back in the day about the corked bats and pine tar. I agree with you about Pete Rose. He never tanked a game while a player or a coach by betting for or against his own team.
One side comment....back in the '70s when I was working in Medical Records at Baystate Hospital one of the doctors who used to give me a hassle came in and told me that Pete Rose came in second in a best looking Cardinal contest. When I asked who it was that came in first, he said the rest of the team.
It seems to me the business of sports has become a two-headed monster. We want our sports heroes to be perfect and accomplish miraculous things on the field and they want to make BIG money. In order to do that they look for any edge they can, whether it was the use of pine tar or corked bats or injecting themselves with PEDS. Keeping them out of the HOF because of this leaves me confused. BUT your idea of a stats section in the HOF Museum is a good one. Sure beats a * next to a good player's name.
As you said, it was the Jets, but it proved to our players on both sides of the ball just what happens when it all comes together. Hopefully it will all come together when they play the Texans.
Did you see Wilfork at the end of the game attacking that tur-duc-hen leg like he did the Jets offense? Brady wasn't sure if the thing wasn't an alien or something. lol

That doctor was pretty funny for a neurosurgeon.

"Day 444 of the NHL lockout and both sides have reached an agreement. It is unclear whether or not enough hockey fans can be found who care."
