Either that, or Ricky Williams likes Toronto weed. Dunno why he would though, since BC weed's supposedly a lot better.
Let's see how the Gretz would feel if Lowe went after one of his young players (oh wait, his team doesn't have anybody that young and talented...)
Frankly, Lowe going after Penner is fine by the rules (a bit lame, but fine) - the thing is, he's ridiculously overpaying him, and therefore his roster is going to be hamstrung by a heavy payroll. It's the Bobby Clarke formula from Philly - further proof that great NHL players do not make good GM's.
Good riddance - the dude is too much of an injury risk, and on the decline of his career
Texiera fits their team really well, since they have solid/accomplished talent everywhere else, for the most part. They're really looking like one of the teams to beat come postseason time.
Tokyo Giants send rights to 2 sushi chefs to Texas Rangers, to work in the Great American Ballpark.
The question is, why would anyone want a 3 million dollar batboy?
If he stays, Anaheim has a stacked defense (Schnieder is one of the best, and he WAS too underrated, but his last contract nulls that) and if he goes, then Anaheim and the whole NHL should wish him the best of luck on the rest of his life. I don't see him as a coach or an announcer though, and it's not like he's been with Anaheim that long, so he won't do a Yzerman thing and become an executive with the organization, so if he quits, he's probably out of hockey.
He's one of my favorite players, and he's on my favorite team, so I hope he is there for a LONG time
When I saw that headline, I immediately thought of Martin Gerber.
