No chance. The creation of the Big 12 already killed the Oklahoma-Nebraska rivalry. No way they let that happen to Oklahoma-Texas.

The surprising thing is that Oklahoma's 4 new O-line starters are not the reason Bradford got hurt. Trent Williams moved positions from RT to LT and his play was the primary reason that OU's quarterbacks kept getting hit in the mouth. He failed to block from the inside out, leaving the blitzing linebacker with a straight path to the QB. Pick that LB up, and Bradford is still in the hunt for the Heisman.

You are right about the fact that OU was struggling with Bradford in the game.

However, you are wrong about their schedule. Oklahoma has one of the tougher non-conference schedules in the nation: Opening with BYU, Tulsa coming to Norman, and then traveling to Miami are not games I would classify as creampuffs.

Robert Griffin is great, but it's going to take a lot more than an athletic QB for Baylor to pull some upsets in the South Division. Baylor's defense allowed an average of 41 points against the top 4 in the South in 2008. They'll beat Texas Tech and Texas A&M in 2009. They'll go 0-3 against the others.

They tried to do that with Oklahoma and Nebraska after the Big 8 became the Big 12. Oklahoma and Nebraska had such a great rivalry that it was suggested that they should play every season after they were placed in separate divisions, but it would only count as a conference game every other season. I guess they couldn't get the rest of the schools on board with the idea.

If a 12th team is added to the Big Ten and Michigan and Ohio State are placed in separate divisions, the rivalry will definitely lose some of it's flair.
