i think sanchez should stay. he will finish his education, and if he is a veritable talent like the NFL thinks he is, hell be a #1 pick next year as well. I think he needs another year to develop his talent.
Biminator, I still have yet to discern the logic behind your comment. USC played both Penn State and Ohio St (1 and 2 in Big Ten) this year and DESTROYED them both. Regardless of whether or not it was a home game, both teams were clearly outclassed by USC's athleticism. If they lost by a slim margin or the games were closer, then maybe your argument would have some merit. If USC loses next year away against Ohio State, then I'll concede that they are the better team. Thats an integral part of sports...the best team is the one that comes out and performs better REGARDLESS of the circumstances. USC doesn't deserve to be in the national championship this year because they underperformed in a game that they should have won.
for sanchez's sake i hope he stays. i feel he needs one more year of starting to be ready for the NFL.
To the miami fan that keeps talkin shi* to the gators...im an acc fan. i live in north carolina. the as a football conference, the acc doesnt have anything on the sec even on a down year (it is getting better tho). Im a huge tar heel fan, but i wouldnt heavily bet on us beating any sec team other than miss st or a couple of bottom feeders. the miami teams from 01 and 02...yea they could match up really well against the gators...now...the gators would kill them. There is no way that marve or harris or cooper could put up enough points to win against tim tebow and the gators. in a few years i could see a good battle because shannon actually is doing a good job of revitilizing the canes. but the same could have been said about charlie weis back when he had quinn...i wouldnt talk smack when youre team isnt nearly on the same level as florida or alabama, or oklahoma, or anyone in the top 15.
Consider this: Would you start Leinart over Ben Roethlisberger, Donovan McNabb? All of their ratings are lower than Warners. Why stop something so good? Warner is the #2 most productive QB in the NFL right now, and has 2 super bowl rings and several MVP's on his resume. He is OBVIOUSLY neither washed out or a career journeyman.
Also:Last year, would you have started Brady Quinn over Derrick Anderson when he was leading the impressive Browns offense to a 10-6 record?
going back to Pryor..I am not a Terrelle hater, but I'm having trouble seeing how he was such a highly touted prospect when he only completed 50-something % of his passes during his junior year. does that have much effect on high school recruitment as it does in NFL scouting? i understand that he has a big arm and incredible talent..but still, i thought decision making and consistency were vital
