Posted Sunday September 07, 2008, About: OSU player criticizes USC
I feel the Buckeyes will deliver in a big way next Sat. Here is my reasoning. Last year at home they had a close game with Michigan St. Spartans. The following week they traveled to State College, Pa. and thrashed Penn St. on prime time national tv. They will recover from their doldrums, the troops will rally around Wells, and they will take down an understandably over-confident foe. OSU will win this game.

SEC_PAC_FAN, If you don't want to bang on OSU that's your choice. But they deserved to be banged on because after yesterdays meager pedestrian performance, they appeared totally overrated!

Dirty Steve, agreed, one bad game does not a season make. It was an ugly win and maybe it will make this team think about themselves and not take anything for granted. What concerned me was the overall lack of intensity exhibited by OSU. They need to be hungry for every game! Now as for the SEC fans all being morons...that's just not the case, right here on the Fan Nation I've met some smart objective and respectable SEC fans. Some of the homers are just tring to rattle your chain.

Trojan904, even though I don't agree with your rhetoric, I have to agree with some of your conclusions. A mediocre spread offense exposed the OSU defense as sluggish, sloppy and befuddled. And honestly the offense didn't look much better. If you were to rank OSU based on todays meager effort, I mean if they can just get by a midlin MAC team, what will happen when they face the teath of their schedule in the Big Ten, not to mention next week against USC? Sorry OSU fans but it looks like they have a hill to climb.

Brutus16, The very same people who claim Wells is overrated would be absolutely ecstatic if he were to transfer to their favorite team. My self included...except that I agree, he is wicked good and has already proved it.

Superheat, Good post, I like your outlook on good competion. BTW, I went to high school with Gary Pinkel's younger brother. Also more than any other conference, I beleive the Big 12 is closing the gap on the SEC faster than any other. Good luck to your Tigers this year!

I think I'll let the NFL decide just how "over-rated" Wells is or isn't.
Posted Wednesday September 03, 2008, About: Beanie Wells: I'll be ready for USC
I'm still trying to figure out exactly what and how he was supposedely injured in the first place. That was quite a speedy recovery.
Posted Monday September 01, 2008, About: How long is OSU's Wells out?
SEC_PAC_FAN,I'm glad you have a sense of humor concerning bigfoot but I'm more impressed with your football talk. Those bigfoots are all inbred aren't they?
Posted Monday September 01, 2008, About: How long is OSU's Wells out?
I agree Deep South, USC certainly WON'T blowout OSU. I'm looking forward to an exciting game and may the winner go to the NC game.

SEC_PAC_FAN, I have to take back the remark I made suggesting you were biased. The more posts of yours I read, the more I appreciate your opinions and predictions. As for Wells, if it wasn't turf toe, what happened? I don't beleive in bigfoot or anything but the whole thing looked suspect to me. I mean the way he let go of the ball would have been more in line with getting your bell rung or a head injury...plus it happened at the two yard line of Y State.

Hey dallas, you missed part of the rumor. Actually he was afraid of catching jock itch from the USC defense. Looking forward to a great game!

sec_pac_fan, Your predictions are too biased. I understand your love of the SEC but again no mention of the Big 12. Some of those teams will make some serious noise this year, I think a Big 12 vs. Big Ten nc is just as likely as any of your scenerios but hey we got a long way to get there.
Posted Sunday August 31, 2008, About: How long is OSU's Wells out?
I just don't get how he even hurt his foot or ankle or whatever. There was no contact at all, he just took a couple steps, let go of the ball as if it was on fire and then had to be helped off the field. I agree etc_ that it would be scary for OSU to lose Wells to an injury but what really happened there? It almost looked phony to me. Is there any chance of that being the case? And yeah, the way USC lit up Va. on the road, it should show just how good or not the D of OSU.
Posted Sunday August 31, 2008, About: Can Sabathia refuse Yanks' offer?
In the playoffs last year against Boston, Sabathia flat out choked so maybe he would fit right in with the Yanks, him and A-Rod could stink it up together if they can manage to make the playoffs next year.

SEC_PAC_FAN, As you call 2nd place first loser, which by the way I find very amusing, that would make Ohio St. first loser two years running. Also very amusing. However you also stated that nobody talks about 2 thru 10. If that's the case, then why is there so much talk about the Buckeyes? Also I'm curious if they would still be hated as much if they had won one of or both of those championship games?
Posted Friday August 29, 2008, About: Tressel won't suspend starter
SEC_PAC_FAN, Thanks for the history lesson, but you didn't mention Nebraska. We ruled for a LONG time. The Big 12 will dominate soon and the SEC shall swoon!

I'm not going to sling any insults and on that note I can honestly say Michigan and Ohio are both beautiful states as long as you avoid Detroit and Cleveland and they both have top notch football programs. The Wolverines have nowhere to go but up. The Buckeyes are at the top now and could be there for the near future, say three to five years maybe longer. I would love to see Wisc.,Penn St., Illini and maybe Purdue all become national power houses along with Mich. and Ohio and the same with the Big 12, they're on the verge of having five or six elite teams and that way we can all kick the holy **** out of the SEC! I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!
