OU and ZONA playing a game ends in a scandal during years where OU rides its strong non-conference slate into the BCS... "Mike Stoops handed his brother a game, it's was sooo obvious, Arizona was coached worse than a Texas game is officiated"... Blah Blah blah.

You know how scatbacks do well because they can hide behind the offensive line? Perhaps the same is true of a blitzing LB...tiny LB is hidden until he shoots through the gap and hits the QB in the mouth...

But yeah, dude's gonna be a RB...

Hmmm, wow... and here I was thinking there were news agencies in Michigan. News flash, buddy, Toyota currently manufactures more cars in the United States than General Motors does (seriously, look it up)... So we're not talking about the "auto industry", we're talking about the Detroit-based auto industry, and while I support GM like a good American, their greed and stupidity have all but guarenteed they won't be around in 5 years with or without a government bailout...
Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: Would Stoops leave OU for Chiefs?
Bob Stoops biggest "problem" was players like Malcomn Kelly and Reggie Smith, who as soon as they got their NFL reports back immediately went into "Don't get hurt, don't play hard" mode.

Bob Stoops biggest "problem" was Adrian Peterson, who sent the entire team into "I don't have to play too hard, AD will carry us" mode.

For the record, we've won 3 BIG XII titles in a row, and we've won 6 of the past 12. That is a dynasty, because we've won more than 3 "championships". It's not a national dynasty, but it's a conference dynasty and it's damned impressive.

Also, Bob Stoops is a family man more than anything else. His family is settled down in Norman, and he's not going anywhere until his kids graduate high school. That's why OU is the luckiest school in America, and every true Sooner fan I've ever talked to have bad things to say about the players for not playing hard, not for not being coached well.

Bob Stoops approach to bowl preparation has been to get the younger kids some reps and the older kids some rest. Does that result in some rust? Apparently so. Look for a different kind of preparation this year.

Finally, look for the OU/UF game to look a lot like the OSU game, a spread run/pass option attack featuring a lot of breakaway speed and a QB capable of throwing it deep or keeping it for a gain of 15 or 20... A few breaks on the defensive side of the ball will spell victory for whatever team comes up with them...
