Ryan Miller for Neuvirth, Brouwer and a 1st round pick.
Posted Monday December 23, 2013, About: Papelbon in pinstripes
The only way the Yankees are going to take Papelbum from the Phillies is IF they willing accept Ichiro in return AND eat the difference in salaries. So, I say that makes the deal unlikely.
Posted Sunday December 22, 2013, About: Rangers desperate to make moves
Brad Richards and Michael Del Zotto for Ville Leino and Christian Ehrhoff... OR... Richards, Del Zotto, and Callahan for Leino, Ehrhoff, and Moulson.
Posted Wednesday October 16, 2013, About: Dodgers still in on Guerrero
Where did the Reds get Aroldis Chapman from? Just curious.
Posted Saturday July 13, 2013, About: Sabres GM: Nothing new on Ryan Miller, Thomas Vanek
They've been called Amerks for as long as I've been alive... it just is what it is.
Posted Friday July 12, 2013, About: Yankees flat-out releasing Joba?
Why? Because an aging corner infielder with 6 HRs and 27 RBIs is a rare commodity these days? Young isn't the player he was for the Rangers 8 years ago... the Phillies are not going to have much of a use for him next year, either. Getting a still young arm that can bring it in the mid-90s is still worth what Young provides at this stage in his career. It would be good for Young to return to the AL (pitcher familiarity) and the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium, too... extend his career.

Weber isn't going anywhere... but Tyler Myers may be available for a young gun? How about pairing Yakupov with Grigorenko next year?
Posted Wednesday April 17, 2013, About: Oilers open to big trade, eyeing Weber?
Weber isn't going anywhere... Tyler Myers for a young gun may work though?
Posted Sunday January 08, 2012, About: Sabres not ready to shake up roster
I get the jokes, but last time I checked the Sabres had the highest payroll in the NHL this season... so your comments don't really make much sense. Now, if you'd like to say they didn't spend that money all that wisely... you'd get no such argument from me.
Posted Thursday January 20, 2011, About: Cashman to Pettitte: 'Don't Brett Favre us'
A better story would have been regarding how Cashman came out after Soriano's press conference and stated the deal was signed against his wishes... and that he (Cashman) actually wanted to bring back Carl Pavano! I'm sorry... that is proof he's lost his mind and I can only thank the better leadership of Hal, Hank and Randy Levine (but I think he's clueless, too) for being smarter than Cashman at a time like this. Pavano instead of Soriano? And this guy is the GM for the most recognizable team in all of sports?! Only in America, Baby!
Posted Sunday November 14, 2010, About: Who will quarterback Vikings in 2011?
There is no way that Luck gets past Buffalo and there is equally no chance that the Bills win more games this year than the Vikings will. Luck isn't heading to Vikings... now Jake Locker or Ryan Mallet present a legitimate possibility, though. I would think Locker over Mallet, but who really knows?
Posted Saturday July 10, 2010, About: Yankees: Mariners pulled fast one
Hey Clueless... the one with the ankle injury was David Adams (Second baseman). If you want to rag on people, you should try doing so without revealing your IQ next time. Montero is tearing the cover off the ball at AAA the past month or so (nearly .900 OPS). That guy can flat out hit the baseball, the issue is where he will eventually play his position (may or may not work out as a Catcher). Read an article that the Yankees agreed to substitute top pitching prospect Adam Warren for Adams, when Seattle had an issue with his (Adams') ankle sprain. Mariners agreed... then a few hours later called back and said AGAIN that they wanted to change the deal and requested AAA Shortstop, Eduardo Nunez. Which took them back to the original request of compensation that the Mariners had previously asked for and the Yankees declined then AND proceeded to do so again.

Hate the Yankees all you want, but if you have ever done business anywhere in life... you should be to relate to why this whole thing is a bigger deal than non-Yankee fans are making it out to be. What if you made a large purchase somewhere, let's say a car, and you agree to a price and sign off on the deal. You ask for the keys and the guy says he has to charge you more now... you think about it and reluctantly agree to the raised price and ask for the keys again... sales guy tells you again the price has gone up since the moment ago when you agreed on a price for a second time and now its back to the original sticker price. Think you're going to say nice things to that guy and walk out of that dealership with a car... or consider going back to shop for your next vehicle down the road?! I didn't think so. Put your Yankee jealousy-driven hatred aside and look at things from an objective perspective once in a while in your life... might pay off for you when the real thing happens to you one day.
