The only thing that ever helped when I used to have them was to freeze the heck out of the area of pain. This reduces the blood flow to the area of pain.
I used good old ice, but one of those re-freezable things should work. As cold as you can stand it and until it's just plain old numb. Of course, dark and quiet. Most of the time within an hour or so they would subside.

And I'm sure I'll get ripped for my view points by some. But I'll subface my comment by saying I worked for a total of almost fifteen years for a company based in State College. I spent weeks working on projects in State College sometimes. I have dozens of friends that are PSU grads. So I have a pretty good idea of the culture without the subjectivity.

To state this isn't any kind of a football issue is denial at best and condoning the behavior of these individuals at worst.
A large, large part of the identity of PSU is football. The entire school and sadly, Happy Valley, have bought into a culture that is shockingly immoral and corrupt to protect a football program from disgrace. I fully believe for JoePA that nothing ,and I mean nothing was going to stop him from breaking the all time wins record. His entire life and identity became wrapped around that one goal and his behavior in the last decade supports that. If PSU fans think that his personal goals didn't affect his decisions regarding Sandusky then they too have buried their heads in the sand. JoePA certainly didn't help bury this because he wasn't thinking of the football program.
This is a tragedy of the worst order - preventable and covered up by the very people that are supposed to be responsible for young people's lives, yet thought of nothing but themselves.
They should all be put in a cell with the worst possible thug and ****-raped daily for the next 10 years.
And also sadly, the culture at PSU, although somewhat unique, probably isn't the only place where this could have happened. As for those that keep saying that it had nothing to do with football - do you think this level and depth of coverup would have occurred if it had been an untenured first year English professor? Really?

So LSU definitely didn't deserve to be NC in 2007 by your standards. They had two losses. This is where SEC fans get *****ed up. If they all have 2-3 losses then it is because they are so great. The B12 does that and it's because they suck. You also should actually look at some team stats. Behind LSU and AL, the next best defensive team was WAY down the list.
When FL gets beat by a bad MSt team and wins the NC it's because the SEC is so great. It gets RATHER boring.
And every computer and lots of analysts had the Big 12 ahead of the SEC.

Sorry, but that's just plain silly. It actually shows how good the Big 12 is top to bottom.
ARK and S. CAR are OVERRATED. Except for luck, Vandy beat Ark. And a bottom of the pack B12 team, A&M, took Ark to the wire.

Little defensive this morning? I'll put TCU's record against AL this last decade. TCU continues to dominate! Yeah!
Chill dude.

A little bit, but I feel for K. Moore some. He won't be a pro QB, but he was a hell of a college QB.
And they're always fun to watch.

+1 Herbie looked like he swallowed a lemon on the BCS show. No one but AL fans wanted this matchup and I'm not sure Saban wanted it. He looked more dour than normal. But the upside for AL is, it'll look better losing to LSU than a non-AQ team again.

Even tho TCU beat BSU, BSU would have been a much better match up to Michigan. Boise got hosed again. The BCS and bowls must be tired of the non-AQ teams winning every time.
This may be in general the worst bowl lineup ever.

Whoo, you're going to be quite busy if you answer every post saying they didn't think that AL should be in the game. I'm guessing that's going to be a lot.
SEC guys are always saying look at the "body of work" , etc. Well, OSU's schedule was much tougher, they actually played some teams with winning records and beat them and they played some teams that actually ended up ranked. And this is not personal.
LSU 41, AL 6

Bingo. Thx

I wouldn't have thought we'd ever have a NC that lost to Kentucky wither, but 2007 LSU lost two games in overtime to mediocre teams and went to the NCG.

This year is the perfect example of why the BCS should not exist. Not only because of the NCG, bit because of the Sugar and Orange Bowls. Lots of more deserving and better teams got hosed yesterday.
That said, I only have one more month to legitimately use my name. :(

Am I mistaken or does every team have the opportunity to practice and run trick plays? Outside of BSU, one of the schools most often running trick plays is LSU. Boy, they must suck. Won two games last year on trick plays.
TCU lost to BSU in the Fiesta Bowl that swung on a fake punt. TCU should have been ready, no excuses.

After reading the above, some thoughts:
1. RGIII is the BEST player is CFB this year.
2. Going back to the HS players workouts on ESPN three years ago, Barkley blew Garrett Gilbert away. Watching that day, I wouldn't have thought the differential would turn out so large, but you could tell Barkley was the better QB. Gilbert didn't have half the arm strength Barkley had.
3. Okie St. might have still been able to sneak into the NCG if OU had not lost and they had crushed OU in Bedlam. Now, no way OSU can jump over AL.
4. Let Houston play LSU. So what if they play in a non-AQ conference, they are one of two undefeated teams. What better scenario than to have the only two undefeated teams play for the NC(assuming they both win the remaining games). If BSU had not lost to TCU, they absolutely should have played for the NC.
5. USC seems to be on a great track IF they can keep Barkley. A lot of people were convinced V. Young was going to stay another year also. I was actually more impressed with the youth on USC's defense.

Wouldn't you consider having a kicker that had tried 3, count 'em 3, field goals before their TCU game not being prepared? I would. Particularly after last year. Somewhere in the first 7 games, BSU probably could have tried a few FGs instead of going on 4th down to run up style points. That is no one but Petersen's fault.

This is a perfect example of allowing an individual to become larger than an institution. Never works.
It is really hard to imagine JoePA "not understanding" what McQueary was explaining to him. Also why McQueary didn't beat the s*** out of Sandusky. If it had been a 10 year old girl, I imagine he would have. Sad, sad, sad.

I meant the forum here. I'm surprised by the lack of outrage, and yes, the spam has become unbearable which is one reason I seldom visit anymore.
