There is no doubt that Cutler deserves a lot of the blame for the poor season the Bears are having, but if you have any football sense you have to see that this team is full of holes. The O-line is terrible; 1) Culter is always under pressure in the pocket, 2) their #1 WR is still learning the position; he was a corner in college, 3) Forte usually is stopped for no gain on first down; this makes it tough for any QB to succeed. The defense is getting old; the can't stop the run or the pass. The scariest part of the defense is that their top players (with the exception of Briggs) are on the decline - it can get worse! They gave up two first round picks to get Cutler and then gave up a second round next year to get Gaines Adams - they don't pick until the third round next year! The Bears need to make changes from the top down; the GM has made some bad mistakes and the head coach has to realize his defensive schemes are outdated. Buddy Ryan's 46 was the scariest D of all time, but no one runs it now. Cutler definately needs to improve, he's made some very poor decisions, but his team is terrible and I believe he shouldn't take the entire blame. Another important thing to add is that not once has Jay pointed fingers at anyone.

Couldn't agree with you more. Can you imagine what will happen to the Bears if the new collective bargaining agreement has NO salary cap? I doubt that will happen, but if it does Chicago will be a non contender forever.

I agree, even Bill Walsh couldn't help this offense - they need a new GM and entire coaching staff. The Bears are two or three years away from being competitive.

Bruce Allen and Jon Gruden - they won a Super Bowl in TB. Chicago is too cheap to fire Lovie with a couple of years left on his contract; they always have been more concerned about the "bottom line" than winning. Signing a player or coach to a big contract has been done, but if they send Lovie down the road they'll still have to pay him for the next two years; won't happen.

Please Bill, be patient, the Bears job will be available at season's end. You can settle Jay down and turn this sinking ship around in two or three years. Chicago will embrace you like you wouldn't believe; look at Ditka! All you have to do is bring a championship to this city.
Posted Saturday November 21, 2009, About: Wilson running out of time with Leafs?
I think Burke should have gotten rid of him right from the start, but to get rid of him now doesn't make any sense. Burke trusted him from the start and should continue to let him coach - the Leafs are a long way away from being a winning hockey club.

This guy is a joke! If anyone hates Forrest now, it doesn't even come close in comparison to how much UFC fans hate this guy. Nothing but a mouthpiece - go home and cuddle with your porn star wife
Posted Sunday October 18, 2009, About: Shanahan or Holmgren in Cowboys' future?
Let him hire either one of those guys! The game has passed them by - it's a young coaches game. Both those guys left losing teams. Please hire either one of them Jerry so I can continue to watch the cowboys lose, lol!

Hopefully NHL management will learn a valuable lesson; don't have anyone in any ownership capacity coach your team.
Posted Saturday September 19, 2009, About: Park president: No Payton statue at Soldier Field
The reason I became an NFL and Chicago Bears fan was because of Walter Payton. This man is the face of this franchise - not only was he arguably the greatest football player ever, he was one of the best people ever to live on this earth. I named my son after this great man. Payton will be seeing his first Bears game in Seattle next weekend. I live in northern Alberta Canada and would love nothing better than to take him to Soldier Field when he's old enough (he's only three months old now) and show him a statue of the great man that he was named after. Because of this bonehead, I guess it isn't going to happen; very sad.

he needs to play in that new league (UFL?) and let all the protesters come out and have their day; once the NFL teams see how the protesters react to his presence and hopefully all the hoopla dies down, then, an NFL team might sign him.
Posted Sunday August 02, 2009, About: Cutler off to slow start at Bears camp
very amusing, but you need to update it to the packers suck and the Bears rule. Favre is long gone and so is Grossman.

Great! The Canadiens should never leave Montreal.
Posted Wednesday June 10, 2009, About: Heatley wants out of Ottawa
There is NO way Detroit would be interested in this guy. The reason Detroit is such a great team is because all their players know their role and play it as well as any players in the league. Heatley is a great offensive talent, but he doesn't care too much about backchecking or playing defensive hockey. However, I do believe every player in the league would love to play in Detroit and if any team could change a players' bad habits, it would be them.

Posted Tuesday June 09, 2009, About: Dungy questions Bears' trade for Cutler
I agree with your statement; he isn't proven yet, but I think it was a good move. Any young QB is a gamble, but I think Cutler is one of the best young QB's in the league. And as a Bears fan, this is something we've never had; I'm sure you can understand our excitement. I think it's a move well over half the league would have made if they could have. But as you stated, he has a lot to prove before we can say it was a good deal.
