You are an idiot.
Posted Saturday November 07, 2009, About: Bryant suspended for more than lies
You're an idiot. Since the beginning of sport, there's basically two things you just DON'T do. You don't hit a dude in the nuts, and you don't eye gouge. Those are the lowest things you can do in sports--not just football, any sport.
Posted Sunday November 01, 2009, About: Browns may turn to Quinn
You all are missing the point. The Jets and Falcons have very very very good offensive lines and running games, whereas the Browns have ZERO in that department. John St. Clair is a turnstile. I know DA is not that good, but he's the same guy he was in 07, just now the right side of the line is 10 times worse and the receivers are worse. Drafting another QB and letting two terrible linemen continue to start at RG and RT would be suicide. Peyton Manning would struggle with the pieces they have in Cleveland--definitely not as bad as DA but he would struggle.

great receiver whose hands are made of bricks. they weren't going to get anything for him if they let him walk, so they did well to get what they got imo.

He wasn't focused and he didn't work hard under all conditions. He might play well in NY but he was dogging it (not blocking, false starts, drops) for the Browns. They had almost no choice but to get rid of him.
Posted Saturday October 03, 2009, About: Garcia take shots at Raiders, Russell
it might be bad coaching, but nobody is going to pay $12M a year or whatever to the top overall pick and then sit his ass on the bench for 3 years. Matt Ryan and Mark Sanchez turned out ok recently. The problem might be coaching (along with him just not being a very good QB), but to sit him for anything more than a year is ridiculous. You just can't sit an eight figure salary player on the bench... which is why Garcia left because he knows he's way better than JaMarcus.

The consequence of what you're talking about is that idiots like YOU never learn the difference between "your" and "you're" and "their" and "they're." Maybe if you had been a little worse athlete you would have better grammar skills than a nine year old.
Posted Thursday August 20, 2009, About: Boldin still seething over contract
No, they are NOT guaranteed. They are only guaranteed if the team wants them to be.
Posted Thursday August 20, 2009, About: Boldin still seething over contract
Every deal in the NFL is basically a one year deal from a team's point of view because they can cut you at any time and they don't have to pay you the remainder of your contract. That's why this type of thing happens in football way more than baseball and basketball because contracts aren't guaranteed. He has the right to whine about his contract, because it works the other way too. If he didn't produce, he could get cut and the Cards wouldn't have to honor the "contract."

Posted Wednesday August 12, 2009, About: Indians GM moving up or out?
#1--The trade of Colon for Lee Sizemore and Phillips was probably the single most one sided trade of the last 20 years. They got a franchise CF, a 2B who happened to pan out elsewhere, and a good middle of the rotation pitcher, an ace when he got hot.

#2- tribe wasn't winning this year. They have the best catching prospect in baseball already who will be ready in 2011 if not sometime in 2010 in Carlos Santana, obtained in the Blake deal last year. They would at BEST have had Victor Martinez for one more year and then let him walk anyway. Instead they got Masterson who is a versatile pitcher and cheap, for more than 1 year, as well as some other guys who might pan out, might not. Still, it was a win for the Indians considering the alternative is to let Victor walk and get nothing (or 2 draft picks which won't pay off for 3+ yrs)
#3- You want the Tribe to KEEP all these guys, even not considering the salaries? Garko, maybe you keep him. Keep Lee for 1 more year or get 4 guys for 5-6 years each including at least 3 highly rated prospects? VMart for 1 year or 3 guys for 5-6 years each? Francisco was like Franklin Gutierrez... just too crappy of an OBP for an AL outfielder, esp with Choo/Sizemore/LaPorta looking like the Tribe OF for a while.

They NEED pitching. They can hit fine. If they get rid of Victor, Garko, and Francisco, they will still be a well above average offensive team, even with Peralta not hitting for much power and Sizemore having a terrible year. You have to fix pitching with young guys and hope that they pan out because they can't afford the CC and Lee type guys when they hit free agency. Maybe they sold prematurely on Cliff Lee but they got a better set of prospects than you think I bet.
Posted Wednesday August 12, 2009, About: Why Halladay is more likely to leave Jays
hahahaha +1 to this... Rios is a bum. He's never OBPed much over .350 even in his good years. The White Sox are fools to take him and Halladay isn't stupid enough to leave them ONLY because of Rios leaving. They are a better team without Rios and they can afford other players for that $$ who are better, but the Jays aren't contenders with Rios anyway so it's neither here nor there.
Posted Monday August 10, 2009, About: Mauer no longer in Red Sox future?
haha what a bunch of homers. First of all, Ortiz never tested positive after 2003, and that's pretty much the only thing you're putting those asterisks there for. Maybe he was on HGH or something else under the radar, maybe not, but he didn't test positive. However, it's documented that several players on the Yankees WS winning teams were juicing. I'm sure people were on the Boston teams that won WSs as well, but the point is that every team probably had at least a handful of guys who weren't clean. Especially a Yankee fan shouldn't be stupid enough to point fingers on this issue.

also #4 in fewest HR per 9 IP. So since pitchers (according to a lot of sabermetricians at least) can control only K, BB, and HR really effectively, he is really good at limiting HRs and getting Ks and not so good with walking people. I think also he breaks the mold a little bit in terms of BABIP. I think his BABIP is more in line with a knuckleballer--correct me if I'm wrong.

#1 in hits per 9 IP in 2008. #5 in SO per 9 IP. He's just a very different type of pitcher than what a lot of you people think he ought to be, but he's very good at what he does.
Posted Sunday August 02, 2009, About: Red Sox to shop Dice-K in 2010
he is not a guy who is going to go 7+ innings a lot. But he walks a lot of guys and strikes out a lot of guys. He doesn't give up many hits which is why his WHIP (a lot of walks in there) is relatively high but his ERA is low.

top 3 ERA in the AL last year?
Posted Tuesday July 28, 2009, About: Dodgers deny Indians blockbuster
The Indians were preseason favorites (PECOTA-wise) to win the AL Central. They still have the core of a very good team. No reason why they can't compete next year. They're already near the top of the majors in offense. If they can get some good and healthy starting pitching next year (big IF) they have a very good shot at the division. Bullpen is always a crapshoot as well, obv.
