vaughn, you're a fool. I had ZERO $$ riding on the game (as did many others), and thought the officiating was beyond lopsided. And I suggest you read the official NFL take on the final play:

"If any forward pass, legal or illegal, hits the ground, the play is dead immediately. The officiating crew mistakenly determined that the backward pass that Polamalu legally recovered and returned for the touchdown was the pass that was reversed in replay to being forward and illegal. Therefore, the crew ruled that the ball was dead when it hit the ground and the play was over. (The actual illegal forward pass ??? Tomlinson to Chambers ??? did not hit the ground and therefore the play is allowed to continue.)

If the situation had been handled properly, the defense (Pittsburgh) would have declined the penalty for an illegal forward pass from Tomlinson to Chambers and taken the touchdown."

In plain English, the officials admitted to screwing it up.

peternink'npoop - the arrest-to-roster trouble is relatively recent. (ah, alliterration...) The ownership in Cincy just doesn't seem interested in fielding a quality team (and I mean that in multiple ways), and haven't for years. Mike Brown should be ashamed. He's turning into the East Coast Al Davis.

Ward? As in Hines? Because that's actually funny.

The absolutely disgusted, **** look on Lewis' face during the Bungles-'Boys game spoke volumes about the way that organization is being run.

At least it was a more interesting game than the early game my local CBS saddled us with (OH V OH)... And I give you props for being classy in defeat. On that note,I 'm betting it's gonna be painful to chnge your moniker...

Ummm... nobody on this thread is "hating" on the SB champs. Yet. ;)
Posted Sunday September 28, 2008, About: Win or else for Rams coach?
There's certainly more than one HC job on a spider's thread this season. Linehan, Lewis, Crennel (tho he's hanging on after the Brown's 1st W), Marinelli, et.c. I'm betting two will be gone before the season's end, and at least one will be back no matter how loudly the fans howl.

...I know of whom you speak. And you almost nailed it - should be, "JERKry youSUK"... ;)

As for sashimi and lobster w/wasabi aioli (or whatever), whaddya expect from people who think average fans can shell out $150K for a PSL?

Grow up, you foolish child. And try to lay off your parents' cooking sherry.

LOL, I meant, "...for you"

One person does not a team make. The Rams have been a less-than-stellar team for a while now.

(e.g.,you won't see me placing the blame just on Ben for the debacle in Philly...)

Chin up, Rams fans... I survived the Mark Mallone/Bubby Brister/Bam Morris years. This too, or you, shall pass.

Hooah! Go Boys!!: You know, comments like that make me embarrassed to have lived five years in the Great State.

Anyhow... Why do comments from some creepy bimbette like JS make "news" on a sports page - even TNR?

I wonder what the new ranking's effect might have on the buy-out of Rooney brothers/cousins?

Crikey. You can say it on network t.v. but can't post it on the internet. Little oversensitive, FN?
