The injuries turned the season into a disaster but even before that Minaya was counting on the offense to carry the Mets. With a healthy offense the Mets would have ended up being no better than competing with the Braves and Marlins for 2nd in the division.

I was frustrated when management let him leave this offseason, and frustrated when I heard they cut Tommy. But more than anything I want my team to compete for the division this year, not have a 90's nostalgia fest.
Does Peavy think if he sticks around in Petco he'll put up HOF numbers? He's not winning a championship there. The only team the media suggests he'd definitely waive the no trade clause for is the Cubs and given their history I don't see him winning a championship there either.
It's called the quotation mark and it has existed a lot longer than the internet. Please use it.
