You don't redo a guy's contract after one year just because he made the Pro Bowl. That's ludicrous, and it opens the door for every other greedy player to do the same thing. What Peters should have done is shut his mouth and played out and EARNED a new contract. I mean, he played one out of three years! Give me a break!

As for Walker moving to LT... good. He played there against Seattle last season and played very well. He's a 6'8" monster, I trust him right now more than Peters.

Did you read Ross Tucker's article about Pro Bowl voting? He said that the players and coaches don't give a crap who they vote for most of the time and just vote for the guy from the year before. Being a diehard Bills fan you would've noticed in the games last year how awful Peters was and how he does NOT deserve to be the highest LT in football; he doesn't even deserve a freaking raise at all.

I agree, getting Crosby in the box is a good step towards beating the Penguins. The more he's off the ice, the better. But 20-odd minutes of penalties for a fight that the other guy backed out of like a pansy? That's just a terrible rule. I don't care if it's Sidney Crosby or Sean Avery, the instigator rule needs to go.

As for the face shield, I'm with you. But I'd take it a step further, I think all fighters should show respect to each other and lose the helmets. If we're serious about fighting, let's make it the way it should be.

Trust me man, I defend Crosby's hockeyplaying in no way. Yes, he's a diver, but there's at least one on every team; ours is Derek Roy, and everyone knows it.

As for this story, anyone who sides with McLean is missing the point here: the instigator penalty is a joke, and it is ruining the NHL. Crosby gains nothing from lying, so I believe McLean said yes to the fight. The fact that he didn't fight back proves that the instigator rule rewards absolute cowardice, it proves that you can goad the other team's best player into a huge penalty to keep him off the ice to give your team a better shot at winning. You want to send a guy to the box? Do it the right way and try to draw him into a bad retaliation roughing or something. This is horsecrap.

In Drury's defense, he signed with the Rangers because it's his childhood team. The Sabres were ready to match any offer he got, but if I get an offer from the team I grew up watching as a kid, it doesn't matter, I'm gone.
