I don't think Van Gundy is calling out Doc Rivers for making excuses. I think he's calling out the media people who make sure everyone knows that the only reason the Celtics lost or ever lose is because KG's knee is bothering him or Rondo's ankle or something else.

Basically the Celtics get a pass because they aren't 100% by the media but if the table is turned and lets say the Magic are missing Nelson, Lewis, Turkoglu, and Howard I bet the headlines would read something like "Celtics dominate pretenders Orlando Magic" but KG doesn't play a full game and its like "Celtics almost defeat Magic despite KG not playing full strength and Rondo came down funny on his ankle, oh and I heard Ray Allen had the sniffles."

Also lol at the defending champions getting a moral victory over Orlando when most people wouldn't give the Magic the slighest chance in the playoffs vs them.

Yeah its pretty stupid but it is really bush league in my opinion that a state as secular and diverse as New York has to play dumb Italian songs when the kid scores. We get it he's an Italian national wow, italian music how hiliarious, big deal.

I would expect something this lame from some arena in Texas.

I don't watch enough Toronto games to know how bad of a coach Sam Mitchell was (every losing team thinks its the coaches fault) but I think people had unrealistic expectations going into this season. Some "experts" pegged them as one of the top 4 teams in the east better then Detroit and the Magic totally throwing O'Neal's injury history out the window. This is exactly where I thought they would be they are 5 games over .500 at best. To make the coach the fall guy I think is a little dishonest.

Curry doesn't give a **** about sitting on the bench doing nothing as long as he's getting paid. He has absolutely zero desire which is ridiculous because the guy could be a serviceable center on most teams if he just gave a damn.

The longer this guy sits on the bench the more detached and the less he cares about the game. He also gets fatter which decreases his trade value. They need to get a deal done asap if teams are really interested before they come to their senses.
