Right side of that O line got exposed Thursday night. Pittsburgh no doubt will try to blueprint that plan for their game. Also, the Ravens defense was without Ray Lewis, yet still collapsed the niners O line. Lastly, the niners WR's aren't anything special, Ginn bad hands, Crabtree despite his size isn't very physical and with Alex Smith as their QB....if the niners fall behind and need him to make plays... it is doubtful he can.

Great post, but Cabrera's RBI production is alot lower if Delmon Young is getting on base ahead of him. Also with V Mart hitting .330ish behind Miggy, Cabrera saw alot better pitches than he did in 2010. It is all interconnected.

No position player on a contending team in the AL had an amazing year statistically. I eliminate Ellsbury from consideration because of his team's collapse. Bautista was great, but Toronto was a non-contender.

I agree, yes Detroit won it by 15 games I believe but with a league average pitcher who knows what happens. Verlander won 12 or 13 of his games when pitching after a Detroit loss.

If a league average pitches is put in his place, who knows maybe they start an extended losing streak?

Also, if they are lower in the standings at the trade deadline (which they would have been with a league average pitcher in place of JV) maybe they make a bigger splash deal than getting Fister (who ended up dominating). Maybe they outbid Cleveland and get Ubaldo which could have worked out less than stellar for Detroit just as it did for the Tribe.

Thankfully Granderson didn't win it, a .262 average? Last time a position player with average in the .260's won the MVP, was 1961 when some guy named Roger Maris won it with 61 HR (season record at the time and stood for several decades til roid era) and 141 RBI. Add to that he hit .269

Will be fun watching him get crunched by SUH this weekend.

UM fans talking up Denard? Have you turned on ESPN, ABC, NBC or any other network that covers college football. UM fans don't even have to utter his name, all the networks are doing all that on their own. He's the biggest story of this young season because he's electrifying and at the same time very humble. I expect his stats to come back down to earth a bit, but given his speed he will still break off long runs and put up 100+ yard rushing days and 300+ of total offense on his own.

Michigan will win because guys upfront like Roh will bring heat that U's QB hasn't seen yet. I am sure IU will put up some points, but Michigan will too. As far as the Rock..... you said it best when you said "is it your typical 100,000 seating Big Ten stadium? No". Also, 20,000 students going crazy is nothing compared to PSU, OSU, Mich, MSU etc who typically have at least double that amount. Blue will still be undefeated after this weekend...
