Barkley wasn't scandal he gambled what he could afford to gamble. Just people don't understand blowing 40k on a night out.

Ii would agure that Kobe is still complete, but like MJ late in his career his athletic ability no longer let's him do the wow things that made the highlight plays. He is probably the most skilled player in the league. It is that skilland knowledge that let's him play still at the top level of NBA basketball over 95% of the league at this point in his career.

No one is mentioning it because it isn't what the convo is about. But yes, Spo needs to get better as well. He seems to be a decent coach, but decent doesn't win titles.

No your agruement he regressed is his ppg. Athletically great defender, but how come his gaurded man was so open in game 5 and 6 on basic basketball plays. He is a good passer, but not great. Instead of being a LBJ apologist, look at his talent and his skill. he isnMt even in the top 30 of skill level players. For a player in his 8th year in the league his knowledge, finese, and basketball moves should be more than straight drive to the basket and 30 foot jumper. He moves without the ball most times like a bull in a china shop. He plays defense like an athletic guy not a skilled guy. That is why when he is playing some one of the same talent, but better skill they shoot can well againt him. He is shut down one deminsional players.

Right now he lacks the mental make up to be a all time great. To do more than just relay on his athletic gifts.

I wasn't aware that scoring is the only skill a basketball player has. Or the fact like Cleveland, Miami only has one scoring option which is him. The man's game hasn't changed in 8 years and it was the same issues last year againt the Celtics. Just last year everybody was saying well he couldn't do it himself and blaming the team. This year he had the team and people are noticing his game. He is an amazing talent, but he is not greatly skilled.

I don't think he regressed it was just more obvious that he is still playing the same game he was his first year in the league. For years it was him and 11 "B" and "C" players in Cleveland. When you are playing with guys of similar talent those flaws are exposed. He isn't a very skilled player. Now I do think their are mental issues he has to work through as well, because he obviously doesn't know what to do when things are falling aprt around him. He needs to work on his mental and skill aspects of the game, the physical he naturally has.

Let's all be honest none of us know the true LeBron. I agree he could have used a few years in college or having handlers who aren't just "yes men" as has been reported. I don't hate him, he is probably the most physically gifted basketball player ever. The difference between him and the all time greats is the commitment to his craft. MJ, Bird, Magic and even Kobe improve their game in some part every off-season. I donMt see the improvement in LeBron's game. That is most evident when he faces the cream of the crop talent in the playoffs who work on their game.

Bettman and the older ownwers made a bad contract out of fear. Betmanand Selig are in the running for worse commissioners in US sports. That is why the change with the new owners is needed and why the game both on TV and in the arena is moving towards the 21st century unlike baseball still stuck in mid 1900's.

if you look at the numbers comparative to there locations and management. It doesn't take a business degree to see which is growing and which is falling. Thenew money in the NHL is starting to improve the league as a whole. They are going through the same process the NFL did 20 years ago and the NBA did 10 years ago.

Vincent showed why MLB is far behind the NFL, NBA, and NHL and starting slide against NASCAR. The whole interview was very telling of the state of sports. He even said baseball was in the best shape of any sports league. It took owners like Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft to modernize/expand the NFL. Cuban is doing the same to the NBA. MLB needs an owner to push the old establishment.

Arky wasn't the second best team. If they played LSU or Alabama... hell Miss State what would have been the outcome?
Posted Thursday March 24, 2011, About: Tressel out ... Meyer in at Ohio State?
I know, the Buckeyes are 1 for the last 10 against the SEC. So yes, they got their win. But soon it will bea lose witht the way the NCAa treats people who lie to them. Ask USC and Dez Bryant what lying to the NCAA got them.

Yes, you beat a team that the BCS picked as second, but really the third or fourth best team in the SEC. With 5 ineligible players, yes brag about that.

So following a coach who only won a championship would be more pressure than the expecttions of winning in a tougher conference and a championship expected every 3 years at Florida... I believe you are wrong.

Florida's problem this year appears to be on both lines. They lack real depth and toughiness.
Posted Sunday March 13, 2011, About: OSU had harsher Tressel suspension in mind
The difference is that Bruce Pearl missed conference games. Games that truly mattered. If Tressel gets a similar punishment it would be 2 or 3 conference games, not 2 games against teams who are coming in for a paycheck.

I agree that the lack of true compensation for the players that the University is makin Millions of dollars off of is a joke. But this is a story because this is a coach who knows the rules. Has been public about pointing out the rules. A coach to quickly talk about upholding the rules and honor of the puriness of the game.

It will be about a year away. USC took 4r years due to court ruling that sealed the records for 3 years. Auburn being a public university will not get that kind of court ruling.
