Posted Saturday October 24, 2009, About: Drivers linked to new '10 rides
you can call the COT anthing you want. but the car was built for safety and is not meant to be glued to the track like the old car. it makes drivers actually have to drive the car so the best will rise to the top. as for bobby maybe he just wants to be driving cause he enjoys it and while he still can. His brother terry did it, bill elliot is still driving and i believe mark martin also ran limited schedules with varying success.
Posted Friday June 12, 2009, About: GM cutting Chevy team support
the biggest effect will happen to the smaller teams. GM will continue to support teams just fewer of them, which means that the top teams will get the majority of the sport. Reminds me of the old days when there were very few factory funded teams. Remember, "what wins on Sunday, sells on Monday". Nothing like a billboard traveling at 200 mph on national tv.

yeah just like with all his stints, mayfield will take it to court. he just needs to go away
Posted Thursday May 07, 2009, About: Boras wants World Series changes
Somebody needs to tell Boras to shut up and sit down. He's entitled to his opinion, but who cares? He should stick with being an agent and go crawl back under his rock!
Posted Saturday April 11, 2009, About: Morgan-McClure to return to Talladega
What do you think they have him behind the wheel for?? How much do you have to pay family. As far as Eric McClure is concerned, like Logano hasn't been track fodder all year so far.
Posted Saturday April 11, 2009, About: Edwards replaces tire changer
See what happens, just change the whole pit crew, then the crew chief, blah..... blah...... blah. Unfortunately, while Edwards can win races, he isn't consistent enough to win a championship. So is this small change really going to make a difference? No, just a fall guy because Edwards probably had a temper tantrum.
Posted Saturday March 28, 2009, About: Earnhardt team airs views
Gotta put your all into it because inconsistent approach does not bring good results. Jr. just needs to go, drive and forget all the rest for awhile. If he can do that the good finishes will follow.

Typical Bruton B.S.
Posted Tuesday February 24, 2009, About: Montoya, Speed deny F-1 interest
JPM has a home with Chip Ganassi so why would he go back to F1. If he doesn't run NASCAR then I bet he would end up in a Ganassi IRL car. As far as Speed is concerned, he, like most American drivers, never got a fair shake in F1. Not that he would have been there very long anyways. So in the end, it seems like NASCAR or the IRL is the best opportunity for them.
Posted Tuesday February 24, 2009, About: Kittle fears for Canseco's safety
What, he didn't think anybody was going to be upset at him. Conseco just needs to go away and get a life. Book, whistle blower, come back attempts, he's attention starved and keeps finding a way to get his name in the news. It's truly amazing how, other than hitting, a former, below average player such as him, can generate enough attention to keep him in the public eye.
Posted Wednesday February 18, 2009, About: Bowa fires back at ex-Dodger
Props to Bowa for firing back. I think Penny should worry about performing for Boston as he won't be there very long if he doesn't.
Posted Saturday February 14, 2009, About: Some Cup teams skip practice
Guess Logano has more of a learning curve than everyone let on. Anyone remember Days of Thunder?
Posted Saturday February 07, 2009, About: Race is on for sponsors
Let's see, the economy crashed in Sept. and they've been talking about the scarcity if sponsors for months.

So, what did they expect at the beginning of the season? Everybody would have secured sponsorship? Even in a good economy, some teams are scrambling for sponsors at the start of the season.
Posted Saturday January 24, 2009, About: Johnson can't believe he's not favored
Not taking anything away from J.J.'s talent and stats, but in ant sport it is tough enough to win 3 in a row let alone 4. The odds are not in his favor thus he shouldn't be picked as the preseason favorite.
Posted Monday January 19, 2009, About: Skinner seeking ride
Better drivers looking for work these days = no ride for the has beens and less talented.
Posted Saturday January 17, 2009, About: NASCAR creates 'Tony Stewart Rule'
It's a shame, due to a change in sponsorship, the shootout becomes just another event during speed weeks. You'd think NASCAR could be more creative with the new format. It is one of the handful of non-points races during the year where the teams and drivers can just go out and race for the bragging rights, get a little cash in their pockets and just have fun racing for the fans. It should be a chance for the fans to see the best of the cup series running head to head and a great way to kick off the season.

As for T. Stew, he deserves to be in the shootout. Not sure who had the "brain fart" and conceived this format but they sure got it wrong and then sold everyone on it. Amazing.
Posted Sunday January 11, 2009, About: Could Favre replace Delhomme?
Wow, it is truly amazing reporting here. It's like junk mail, you don't want it but it just keeps showing up in your mailbox.
Posted Sunday January 04, 2009, About: Cope on verge of sponsorships
Wow, lack of something good to write about? Cope needs to hang it up, he got extremely lucky one time, now he's just in the way.

Posted Sunday December 14, 2008, About: Stewart: Testing ban won't hurt new team
Stewart-Haas won't be as far behind the 8-ball as you might think. Gotta remember that chassis and engines come from Hendrick and there is the backing from GM to get Stewart back into a Chevy. While they will have a learning curve, it won't be because of equipment or lack of engineering notes so much as how they utilize it. This doesn't mean they'll be fast out of the box but they surely will not be that far off. If they get the chemistry right all the tools are in place.
Posted Sunday December 14, 2008, About: Petty: Why Dodge teams are struggling
I think NASCAR has got it's finger way to deep into the race teams. In trying to insure that the manufacturers have equal representation and can be competitive they are handicapping the smaller teams. Maybe NASCAR needs to take a better look at the situation and see what alliances will stabilize the weaker teams and keep them racing. If Dodge cannot support its race teams, maybe it is time to get out. This would not be the first time that manufacturer has pulled the plug on NASCAR.
