Good mock. Burfict is already oozing with talent though. That certainly isn't in question. His biggest problem is his attitude and work ethic. I still think Baltimore is the best fit for him. Plug him into a D with leaders like Lewis and Reed, as well as a fellow Sun Devil in Suggs, and Burfict could be the successor to Ray Lewis as the heart of the Ravens D.
While I agree with all that is written, lets not kid ourselves, this team is probably 7-7 without the defense being as dominant as it has been. Aldon Smith gets better every week. Bowman is basically a slightly lesser version of Patrick Willis. The secondary is making big plays almost every week now. Justin Smith is Justin Smith. etc etc etc.
Great information, Un. A friend of mine and I were just debating who had had the more difficult schedule to this point, Niners or Saints. I now have some great resources to back myself up.
Naturally however I must disagree that this is Stanford's first and only test of the season. The USC game, played at the Coliseum might I add, was a tough test for the Cardinal. Make no mistake about it, just because USC isn't in the BCS doesn't mean they aren't one of the best teams in the nation. They'll be national title contenders next season, especially if Barkley decides to return to school.
I hate all this division realignment. I'm kind of a traditionalist, and it's probably just because these are the conferences I grew up watching, but Colorado in the Pac-12? Nebraska in the Big10? Mizzou and A&M in the SEC? It doesn't feel right. It's not the same.
Nice blog, UH. I agree with all your picks except for the Penn State-Nebraska game, and the GT-VT- game. I'd also be surprised to see Florida beat the Gamecocks, but I'll take your word.
Also, what's your take on the number of bowl teams from the SEC? 10?
On to the good part:
To Stanford's credit, they're missing their best defensive player this year, Shayne Skov who tore his ACL in the game against Duke. However, even without him, they've still managed to rank in the top 10 in the NCAA in points against, albeit against a relatively soft schedule thus far. The only two tests being vs Washington and @ USC.
Wish. They wouldn't let me in as I'm not 21 and don't have a fake. It looked awesome though, but there were plenty of other bars to choose from that did let me in without carding.
We thought they just hadn't replaced it since it caved in, therefore leading us to believe there was no way the Vikings would be playing in Minnesota passed this next season.
St. Louis is actually a very cool city. And everything was so inexpensive. I told my dad he should move there when he retires. Everybody was incredibly friendly too. I also noticed a very large increase in the size of the average person, but that's ok.
Didn't get to try "The Hill" unfortunately. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency, not sure if you know where that is, but it was a perfect location if you ask me. Right across the street from the arch, and close enough to the park that you can see it.
I agree with Yoda, in that I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to get across.
At one point, you seem to imply you believe the NHL needs to do a better job of enforcing it's rules against headshots before a possible incident of paralysis or death occurs. You procede however, to slam Murphy a bit for bringing down a 4 game ban on Rome.
Now, let me tell you this, I am a huge conspiracist for better or worse. And above all, I hate the East Coast bias because it absolutely does exist. But I in no way shape or form, saw the Rome suspension as "East Coast Bias".
