Way overdue to start teaching "elite" athletes that they do not run the teams. Might even teach them a little about the following: DUI, Gun Control Laws, Drug Laws, Traffic Laws, and finally last but not least Domestic Violence.

Could be the underlying thoughts are that McCarthy is on a short leash. After all look at the list of potential coaches Holmgren, Gruden, Shanahan, Cowher, and a long list of coordinators for HC next season.

Gun permits are not usually allowed from one state to the next. It would be very surprising if NY and NYC honored a gun permit from any other jurisdiction. Of course with lawyers involved for the right amount of money anything can happen.

Actually the rest of the league would be very happy if Owens remained on Jerry's Kids roster. He has already started splitting the team and that will only continue until Jerry officially names Owens the first Player/GM in NFL history.

The 'boys can have him, outside of the 213 yard game Owens is no longer a game changing WR. He is a team changing "Me First" jerk.
