Chelsey Buhler
Melanie Fitzpatrick

i'm not ready to trade jj and bring up an unproven rookie when we already have that with gamel at 3rd.
if your fine with it, grab a helmet and bat and stand in there and take one upside your noodle like a man....
if YOU knew baseball, you would know that difference.....a suicide squeeze is a lot different than a bunt with no one on. and if you're going to throw at them, not at the head...that's messing with a man's career and life....
anyone who watched the packers this year know the defense and special teams were the big liability to this team....favre would not have been able to fix this team on his own....i loved favre as much as anyone when he was here, but this team had bigger issues than the QB situation. thompson needs a major overhaul on defense and somewhat on the O line...QB is set for the future. and if thompson doesn't get it done this offseason, then we need someone new to put the pieces together...
2007 - 28 TD, 15 INT
2008 - 22 TD, 22 INT
favre was not the reason for the packers decline...and underperforming defense, shaky special teams. rodgers had a great season for a first year starter...favre wouldn't have taken the packers to the playoffs in any way shape or form....
a salary cap is just a way to level the playing field. as previous people have said, the luxury tax is a disguise for capping. so the yankees get hit with a $27m tax...spread among teams...equals $1m per team...whoopty freaking doo. and, as someone else said, they operated in a loss this year...meaning that $27M is the shared portion, means nothing, but baseball will continue to say its "spreading the wealth". take a hint from the NHL, lock it up, cap it, and come back. yankees fans will always say no, cuz then they can't just outspend, even though they still win nothing. if you can't win with $200m, how can you will only $100m?
attanasio stated publicly that with the acquisition of CC mid season that most likely they would be in the red as far as profit....meaning he ponied up money from his pocket to make the acquisition and subsequent playoff run. so he DID NOT pocket any money and leave the team out to dry. since mark a has taken over the brewers, he has risen payroll from under $40m to over $80m along with several costly improvements to miller park to make it more fan friendly....yeah sure sounds like someone buying a team just to make more money for himself....get some facts straight before lumping mark a in with owners such as the florida marlins, pittsburgh pirates, kc royals, etc.
don't get me wrong, we all loved favre and what he has done for the packers organization. if he had stayed retired, he would still be loved by everyone. but the last 6-7 months or so have shown that favre needs a lot of attention and ego stroking to keep going. unreal how a 39 yr old veteran needs so much attention and having to be constantly told he's needed and this and that...
have fun new york...the favre offseason is just beginning...
CC has pitched 200+ innings consistently the past few years....doesn't that make it sound like he's more durable as opposed to more prone for breakdown? he was lights out for the brewers, even though pitching a lot in a short time frame. he man'd up. they asked if he wanted the ball, he didn't shy away. he'll hold up and he'll man up like the pitchers from back in the day....finish what ya start....
