Becasue they can't just drop the rubes off scholarship or suspend them. Which NFL team is going to practice at full speed Thurs/Fri for a Sunday game? The dog will not hunt at that level.

You would have to do more than kiss NFL player's butts! They get payed way more than college players. If you are not using them because they will not "buy into the system" (becasue the corresponding conditioning is a lot of work) (Remember the old, "you talkin' about PRACTICE?") then manaagement is all over your case for wasting you money.... No, a cllege dynasty with a "athletic supporter supreme" arouind is way beetter that an NFL gig with tade bait babies who will not put out.
