Aquaman, you are wrong. "Cowboys" refers to the collection of more than one Dallas Cowboy. Substituting Jerry Jones for cowboys is not accurate, because Jerry Jones is singular. "Cowboys" is not singular, even though it refers to one team. You would not refer to Tony Romo as a "Dallas Cowboys," but rather as a Dallas Cowboy. Just because the plural form is what they go by does not negate the fact that it is plural.

You would not say "Americans doesn't like terrorism." You would say "Americans don't like terrorism."

though I do appreciate your fondness for the lost art of grammar.

mijflea, Briggs isn't remotely suited to play middle linebacker. he's something like six feet. i know six foot linebackers have existed before, but briggs, who is the best player on the bears' d, is perfectly suited for where he plays.

They didn't draft a RB with their first pick. They drafted an OT. Forte was their second pick.

Shynloco, comments like "its really nice to hear the Bears don't have anymore pressing issues to win a Super Bowl than to argue amongst themselves about who gets a ring" show a true ignorance. I can't stand people who make comments like this. 1. The Bears havent made this an issue at all, SI has. The only reason we even hear about stuff like this or any other useless information about NFL teams is because it's the off-season and SI, ESPN, and whoever else is hurting for coverage. 2. Even if the Bears are dedicating time to screwing over their employees by giving them lesser rings, they are apparently able to multi-task. Seeing as how they just signed their first round pick, something no other team has done, as well as Vasher, and have signed 8 of 9 overall picks, also something no other team has done, the Bears aren't exactly neglecting their on-the-field responsibilities.

Stop acting like you know what you're talking about, or like you're privy to some inside information.

im a huge Bears fan but their front office/ ownership leaves something to be desired. but not because of the rings. i couldnt care less about that. and not really because of Briggs because he goes back and forth. first he says he wants a long term contract but then says he doesnt want to play second fiddle to urlacher. i was a huge briggs fan but now im over it. they traded jones away because benson is a good back and they know they would have a good backup in peterson. you can say all you want about benson not being a proven back but at some point or another, you have to give him the ball and see how it happens.

whoever said alex brown doesnt want to compete with anderson and adewale is right. i think he knows that once his contract is expired, the bears wont re-sign him so he's trying to get offers..which is understandable.

but the bears are coming off a really good last couple of seasons and still all we here about is the negative stuff. the way they handled the lovie smith thing was ridiculous. he should be one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL and should've been re-signed midway through last season. as far as letting rivera go..we'll see how that works out. i dont understand it but im not on the inside either.

i dont think we need to bad mouth dallas, although we should probably stop calling them "america's team." nobody but people from Dallas likes them anymore..if there was an america's team right now it would be the Saints. oh, and the guy who acted like jerry jones is the patron saint of the NFL has got to be kidding.
