Look, if Minnesota is satisfied with a .500 record at best or getting lucky and winning maybe 10 at the most, Jackson is their man. But lets face reality....Jackson is a proven choker under pressure QB. When the heat intensifies, Jackson folds like a cheap tent. He can't think under pressure. He throws everything of experience out the door when the heat comes. If thats what you want, you got your man, if you're looking for a QB to handle pressure and pull out some tight ones..Keep looking...Don't think for a second that he played an outstanding game last year against NY to get into the playoffs...The G men were not playing. If it really meant something the Vikes would have been watching the playoffs..Jackson is a backup QB at best..lets be real.....

Ease up. Nicklaus was a class act and believe me, he swore a time or two. Don't discredit Tiger just because he blurted a few out. The competitiveness that drives guys like Nicklaus and Tiger makes the game become super emotional, they are human, although the way they played(Nicklaus) or play(Tiger) we tend to forget they are.

This new coach (Ryan) has to instill in this team that, yes in fact we are a team. We do things as a team, (train) , we win as a team and we lose as a team. If you don't show up even when its not an order, you're showing you are more individual than team oriented, therefore close the book on their ego's and trade them to Denver or Cleveland. If you don't show that attitude right away some of these guys are gonna test you all the time..Its a honor to be playing football not a right...A guy signs a contract for 6 years and because someone else gets a better one they cry about it and sit out...They should say good , sit out, don't play and don't get paid...and don't come back until next year...You don't show up for training camp because you want to renegotiate..You don't play that year.....Players have way too many rights and owners have little they can do...

First of all, lets be realists....Matt Cassel had a couple of good games, lets not get carried away and think he's all that good..At this point it is crazy to think he is worth 2 first round draft picks...let New England keep him this year and Detroit can start their building process with all those picks. Grab a QB, get some defense and some big offensive boys and maybe 2010 or 2011 the lions may be a team on the upswing. Matt Cassel isn't going to do a thing to change the lions for next years season or for 2010 for that matter..Use you head lions...think 2 or 3 years away....don't blow another decision

Everybody gets all hyped up about all these great assistants. Well good assistants don't always make good head coaches. Most don't, some do..Its a roll of the dice. Look at Lovie Smith, Mangini, Childress. Some guys like Norv Turner are good offensive guys but are meatheads as a head coaches, so are Wade phillips and Crennel...You want to win and win consistantly, go get the Cowhers, Parcells, Jimmy Johnsons, belichicks...pay the money, whatever it takes,, and sit back and win....
