This is plain stupid. How does Tex come in during the middle of season and turn around other players' approaches to hitting/preparing/etc? Especially with Vlad already the huge star and big payday guy around, Tex would only have joined the club and gone about his business. As Tex gets older and becomes a team's main offensive weapon maybe he'll have an impact on other players. As of now and given his position with the Angels, that just wasn't going to happen in '08.

I like Tex around 1st base also. He is worth a lot of dough - a lot more than what Vlad is worth at this point!

Name me many players who do not sign with the team offering the most $$$$$!

The fact that CC Sabathia and Texieria will sign for less to go to a city/organization that they like for less money just wil not happen in my opinion.
