this has virtually nothing to do with the celtics. It is a stategic manuever meant to f with the Blazers salary room. The Blazers are positioned to make a strong move. So much so that someone I know suggested they would win three championships in the next ten years. This is the kind of move that will ensure the Blazers don't three championships in the next 25 years.

this is the kind of parenting Id like to see more often! What else did he advise his son to do, go to six flags every day and see how many churros he can finish?

serotonin you dont know tish. Dude, a big player being injured doesnt necessitate a player at another position getting more minutes, but that is usually the case when you downgrade at a position. There is also the fact that the bench is being cut short or downgraded, meaning that Freddy will be spending less time there or (assuming he's already on the field) will be less likely to come out of the game. As for the RSL trash, come on! As if he transferred to a bigger, better, club because he wasnt good enough there. People like his old coach Novak who have some intricate 'vision' for his development will not be paid off for prolonging it. Adu is our best chance now and in the near future. Ya think we might want to throw him into the fire and see what happens? Or maybe we're too afraid of a kid who can play getting bullied and disappointed like other young stars like Lebron James, Landon Donovan, Wayne Rooney, etc.

maybe we should keep adu on the second teams. I mean, our old guys like Agoos, Pope, Hejduk, Keller, cherudolu, and Claudio Reyna are still playing at a high level. i mean, they are still pros, right? Arena had all the answers in '06. It's everyone else who has no idea.

dude,. this guy can ball, he's just a bit nutty like most other nba players (including some of the established guys) However, the established guys seem to have their act together and thats the type of influence ricky can feed off of. Denver makes the most sense as AI has made it an entire season without a major controversy and melo appears to be on his way there, and marcus "booster buddy" campy is a stabalizing force. JR smith is too young for that denver team, But this stabalizing influence arguement is clearly felt by those suggesting that he be joined with other primetime players like on the heat, nugs, mavs, spurs, or Celts. #17 baybee!
