Just to clarify my above comment about trading healthy pitchers. I meant for "hitters" I realize in order to acquire Holliday the Red Sox are going to have to package pitchers in with the deal. Buchholz most likely being involved.

I'm not sure with the state of the Red Sox pitching staff right now if I'd trade any "healthy" pitchers. Hitting comes and gos but solid pitchers are a dime a dozen. With no Dice K , Wakefield on the DL and Smoltz struggling and his future success murky at best I think they should be more interested in looking to move 3-4 prospects and do a blockbuster deal for Roy Holliday. Lets face it. The future is "now" in sports. No one wants to hear about "potential" and who you have in the farm system and who or what they may become in years down the road. If the Yankees or Rays get Holliday then Victor Martinez and the Sox will be watching the World Series together...at home.
