Sure...fire one coach that demands endless self sacrifice and is allergic to creativity...then run in a exactly the other direction and pick up a coach that wants his players to play like figure skaters.

Kidding aside, I think Vigneault is a good coach...but the Rangers really have no identity at this point. Slats has made some pretty poor personnel decisions and right now they just seem like they're in flux. I expect the Rangewrs to be better under Vigneault than under Torts though...

Boston is a structure an opportunistic team. Vokoun hasn't been the only bad player, but don't kid yourself, he has been dreadful thus far and anyone that watches goalies saw this coming. To do well vs boston u need to be fundamentally sound and stay square to the puck...neither of which describes vokoun.

since inheriting Therrien's team and winning a cup, the pens don't exactly have a stellar playoff record....so it would seem fair that he wouldn't be above being axed.

Danny, game 1 was 1-0 through most and the Bruins + Rask stymied them, but at any moment that game coulda turned. Then Vokoun let in two stinkers.

Game 2, forget about it, again, Vokoun never gave them a chance to even be in the game.
