Just factually absolutely wrong. His offense at Oregon and before has varied greatly depending on who the QB is. There has always been a read-option component to his offense, but by now means has he always had a running QB. Just wrong. What he HAS always had is a relatively light, mobile O-line, with pulling and shifting and schemes, with remarkable success picking up blitzes and "games". Guarantee you, Vick will run less this year than he did last...
Ah, the venerable Sgt. Schultz defense; I know nothing! What a cesspool NCAA sports are, especially basketball... what a fraudulent charade of a carnival, trolled by slimy hucksters like Self, Mr. Table Top Pitino, and Mr. One and Done Hit and Run Calipari, and these are your Champions, your ultimate leaders. Excuse me while I go puke up my lunch just thinking about these slimeballs.
"It was a joke last year when he ran an interception back for a TD, like it was in slow motion." And yet, no one caught him from behind, either... he won't be returning punts like he did at New Mexico, but he might still be able to give Te'o a race, if he's fully healed up. It did affect that defense negatively after he got hurt last year.
"The Tennessee product is one of the more naturally talented pass catchers to come along in the last few years." Whose only weakness is that he can't, in fact, catch worth a bleep. Old coach of mine used to say, you can't catch a football with your ****, son, try your hands next time. Will be a total absolute bust...
Marcus Vick, Jim Drunk-n-drilledher, VaTech has had a few of these over the years, but then again, what competitive program hasn't? Literally, I can't think of any... not Notre Dame, not Stanford, no program has been totally free of these incidents. Beamer has admitted that with Druckenmiller and with the HUD housing scandal (players getting low cost housing and pocketing their scholarship money) he made a couple of huge mistakes early in his career, but really over the years he's been pretty good, I think.
No worries, Chicago can't hang with them... takes your heart out when your leader isn't willing to play when he's not hurt, just not at his best. That's amplified by Noah playing through his pain. Not sure Rose ever gets the full trust of this team back.
Yet another MMA story, like ALL MMA stories, that focus first and foremost on Dana White and his ego... is there any other sports frachise on earth whose biggest star, whose most recognizable name by far, and the focus of nearly EVERY story, is the owner/commissioner? Even Vince McMahon lets a few of the wrestlers get a little pub for themselves, there are stories about the Cowboys that don't focus on Jerry Jones. Just a bizarre situation.
What a shock, your all-pro bulldozer center goes on walkabout and you decide to run less with a center whose never started a game in his career... for a team that led the league in passing yards and passing attempts. Tim Brown needs to be evaluated for CTE, seriously, I'll say it again.
Tim Brown seriously needs to be evaluated for CTE... between this and his rantings against Jerry Rice, the guy is totally irrational. I'm serious, there's something wrong, seriously wrong, in this dude's braincase.
What a load of hooey... they knew he was gone the day Nolie threw him under the bus last summer, so publicly and openly. They also never had any intention of paying him anywhere close to 25 a year. This is just one last shot at Hamilton, trying to put all the blame on the player, not them. Weak. Understandable perhaps, but still weak, and classless... Rangers being Rangers, in other words.
Keep this on file and re-run it in late April... that's a pretty strong stance to take, I'd say there's a good chance you'll look like fools come that time.
Were they not awake the last five years? How could anyone be surprised at this? Joggin' Andrew hasn't changed in attitude one bit. I predicted this, along with a lot of other people, before he was even traded. Injury, announce a return date, triple that time, add another six weeks to get into shape while he Jogs up and down the floor, and come playoff time, he's pretty effective. Problem being, on a lesser team than the Lakers, the season's over by the time he's ready. Joggin' Drew is what Joggin' Drew has always been and will always be, and anyone who invests in him gets exactly what they should have expected... and anyone who invests a max contract in him, and some fool will, has demonstrated just how much of a fool they really are. Caveat emptor, fool... even the Romans knew that.
Actually, everybody but you wants him. And it's anything but a gimmick offense, as Ron Jaworski and others have shown to anyone interested or intelligent enough to look and listen. Smaller agile linemen who can pick up blitzes and stunts and pull and run on sweeps, a qb who doesn't run as a first option and can when it's available. Oregon hasn't had a player picked in the top 60 NFL draft pick in four years, or a top ten recruiting class, and yet ranked 11, 3, 7, and whatever they finish this year. He is the hottest prospect out there, everybody wants him, and for good reason.
