Posted Tuesday September 30, 2008, About: Mavericks still blaming Avery?
Avery may get some of the balme but the truth is his team let him down! You can only draw it on the board but it's the players that have to execute and they didn't do that but they didn't do any worse than they did when Nelly was coaching them, Golden State tore that rump up with a team full of "midgets", Barron Davis particularly. Nelly didnt have an answer for them either. Dallas likes to get into track meets but they absolutely refuse to play any kind of defense but that's pretty much their history, "running and gunning" so the new coach has a good offensive team but if he can instill that Detroit defensive mentality in them they may get beyond that first round "mudhole".

then there's Brian Billek, a proven winner with the Ravens, I think Romeo Crennell, a true "company" man who definitely won't say "NO" to the boss since he didn't say "NO" to the Cleveland GM when he wanted to start Brady Quinn this season without him being ready. The college ranks is out because the first choice would be Pete Carroll at SC but he's riding high with them and I don't think he'd give that up to be Davis' "whipping boy" and of course there's Eric Mangini if the Brett Farve experiment doesn't pan out. The Raiders need a coach that has the stones to stad up to "His majesty" Al Davis so the list will be a short one.

Here's an opinion on the next head coach: Bill Cowher, hard jawwed, tough minded, no nonsense and he has a good young QB to work with and a decent ground game. Then, Scott Linehan, he's as good as Kiffen and at least Davis doesn't hate him, Mike Martz, though under contract to the 49ers he may like being at the controls instead of being in Mike Nolan's shadow such as it is, Marvin Lewis, who isn't garnering any praise in Cinncy since benching Carson Palmer,

Talk about tasteless! Listening to one game I am hearing about another on going on in Oakland and without a football even! Three coaches being interviewed before the "old" coach becomes the "ex" coach. Seems like "Just Win Baby" has become Just Leave Baby", and the "baby" is the head coach! If THAT doesn't tell him he isn't wanted in Oakland nothing will, except Al himself!
Posted Monday September 29, 2008, About: Redskin's celebration irks Cowboy
Tank was justified in getting angry about the guy standing on the star celebrating just as Emmitt was when he got at T.O. when he did it as a 49er! It just means there will be lots to deal with when the Cowboys go to FedEx Field on Nov. 16th! Winning the game is one thing but disrespecting the teams home is like losing a fight in your front yard then having the guy you lost to take a leak in your living room! If you don't do anything about it then YOU are the idiot! A Redskin "took a "leak" in our "living room" after winning the fight in the "front yard" so come Nov. 16th there WILL be so payback, believe that!
Posted Monday September 29, 2008, About: Redskin's celebration irks Cowboy
Tank was just as justified in getting upset as Emmitt was when T.O. did it when he was a 49er! Class is one thing but when you win and THEN you disrespect the teams "home" that's another matter! You defend home no matter what even if you lost the game! This only means that when Dallas goes to Washington on Nov. 16th there will be som "payback" at FedEx Field and you can depend on that! You lose a fight in your front yard then the guy you lost to takes a leak in your living room. If you do nothing about it then YOU are the idiot
Posted Monday September 29, 2008, About: Redskins, Cowboys owners get along off field
We'll see how well they like each other when Dallas comes to FedEx Field for the rematch and the Cowboys clean the Deadskins clock! Bologna sandwiches for everyone NOT of Cowboys affiliation!
Posted Friday September 26, 2008, About: Quinn may relieve Anderson
Problem is Crennell is more a "figurehead" than a head coach! DA is your starter! Quinn is NOT ready yet and Crennell knows it. He just doesn't have what it takes to take on the Browns GM who said last season that Quinn would start. When the GM tells the head coach who will start the head coach has no control over the team, he's just a "figurehead". Browns have good offense but no continuity, team doesn't know who will lead them from one week to another like it is in KC. Problem with both is quarterback of the future is not ready right now while backups have to win right now but don't. Edwards and Crennell could end up being assistant coaches, again, likely at their ages, for good.
Posted Wednesday September 24, 2008, About: Has Moss thrown in towel?
Tell you this, if I were the Pats O-coordinator I'd tell Cassell, "You are going to throw this ball to Moss no less than twelve times per quarter!" I'd stick Moss so deep up the defenses behind that they'd think they were taking a Randy Moss enema!
Posted Wednesday September 24, 2008, About: Has Moss thrown in towel?
Moss is out of sinc because he is use to having to have a lead first. Billicek is trying to get a lead and let his defense win it for him in the fourth quarter. The thing is if he can't get the ball to Moss there will be a problem. As for Moss, he's probably going to "tank" if he gets too frustrated with Cassell. He was all out for Randall Cunningham in Minnesota but boy did he mail it in with the Raiders and who could blame him? He went one game with only six passes thrown at him with an O-coordinator that was selling shoes at Walmarts before becoming the Raiders O-coordinator. Now when he is ready to explode again the starter is on the bench for the year and the head coach doesn't have enough confidence in the b/u to throw deep to him. Now THAT CAN be frustrating!
Posted Wednesday September 24, 2008, About: Ex-Packer: Rodgers better than Romo
What idiot even asked the question who was better? Romo did what no Dallas qb has EVER done, won in Lambeau Field and that goes back to Dandy Don Meridith's days! Every one is basing their opinion on what Rogers did as a backup last year when he came in when Brett got smoked. Well, he had his chance for the face off IN Green Bay and HE got the same thing Favre got, SMOKED! All he was, was a double meat with cheese LOL!!!
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Cassel or Quinn could be Vikings' next QB
Personally I can't see why the Vikings DON'T want Jeff Garcia! He's proven, still can play and throw the long ball, he's been to a championship several times and would be good for the Viking locker room to motivate the young guys trying to BE champions! Actually, having him would take some pressure off Peterson and loosen up the secondary a bit but hey, the Vikings haven't been all that since Bud Grant was at the helm and Dennis Green years later. In fact they are next up on the NFL Networks series, "The Missing Rings", "sorry mutha******!"
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Cassel or Quinn could be Vikings' next QB
The Texans ani't shyte anyway with or without Matt Schuab! All they have is a nice looking place to play but for now they have a lot of work to do in getting the right people into Houston, a lot!
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Cassel or Quinn could be Vikings' next QB
Aren't we being a bit hasty? I mean the season is only three weeks old and we have Matt Cassel and Brady quinn going to Minnesota. Let's give T-Jack the benefit of the doubt and give him another season to produce! Deion even had Michael Vick going to the Vikings when he gets out of jail. Hell, they have dogs in Minnesota to, don't they? Brady Quinn is unproven, yes, but so is Cassel. He'll have to get the Pats to the playoffs before he can be called proven and Quinn needs to win a few games before he can even USE the "P" in proven. Let's see who is healthy in December because this is a bad year for injuries and nobody is safe.
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Taylor: AFC South better than NFC East
Hey nysportsman,
giants came to Dallas and lucked out but remember, they got swept in the regs. They stole our title and because of that the mission IS the Giants! We want them, badly and when we go up into East Rutherford November 2nd you will find out just as they will, tough guy!
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Taylor: AFC South better than NFC East
Who is Fred Taylor to talk? Jags just got off the "snide" beating Colts by a field goal but NFC East is combined 6-2 with all losses coming inside the division to each other and Philly knocked Big Ben out of the game against the Eagles and let's not forget that Colts were unbeaten coming into Dallas in '06 but didn't leave that way so, who is Fred Taylor?
