Posted Tuesday January 01, 2013, About: Boston worked out Bobby Abreu ... at first base
Adam Laroche makes the most sense for Boston. Give him two years guaranteed and a club/player option for the third year.
Posted Wednesday November 14, 2012, About: Blockbuster a prelude to franchise sale?
As a long-time Marlins fan, I see this trade differently. It was a good payroll dump and a dump of players that will not fit into Miami's future. Josh Johnson is not the same pitcher he was 2 years ago. At best, his fastball reaches 92 MPH. He struggled with control and he is another injury waiting to happen. Bonifacio is a farce in the outfield. He was too busy playing up to the cameras and limited fans to be a factor this year. John Buck is an overpaid catcher. That leaves Reyes and Buehrle. Reyes never fit in Miami. His signing was equal parts publicity stunt for the team and a money grab for Reyes. The Marlins got A LOT of young talent. With the new TV revenues, they have the luxury of waiting for the new players to mesh with some other young talent already on the team - namely Giancarlo Stanton. Good bye to old rubbish, I say.
Posted Friday July 27, 2012, About: Greinke will be dealt
Grienke to the Dodgers would make a fantastic 1 - 2 punch for them. Add Hamilton in the off season and look out.
Posted Saturday July 21, 2012, About: Desperate Dodgers enter bidding war for Dempster
He's 117 - 120 for his career with a 4.32 ERA. He had a 4.81 ERA last year. Teams will be overpaying.

Melky did both over the weekend.
Posted Friday July 20, 2012, About: Giants clearing room at third?
Chase Headley would be a nice addition, but I don't see the Padres trading him within the division. Dodger could use him, too.
Posted Friday July 20, 2012, About: Desperate Dodgers enter bidding war for Dempster
Will be interesting to see which team overpays for Dempster.
Posted Friday July 20, 2012, About: Even Morneau's on the block in Minnesota
Morneau is a shadow of his former self. Never quite recovered from his injuries, especially his concussion. Any team that trades for him is taking a huge risk. Span is a much safer option.
Posted Friday July 20, 2012, About: The Angels' odd man out if Hunter stays
That would certainly make them a "younger" team, but it wouldn't reduce payroll since they are on the books for Wells' obnoxious contract.
Posted Wednesday July 18, 2012, About: Kobe pans Stern's concept: 'Stupid,' 'dumb'
The "Dream Team" concept was created because Americans got tired of seeing other countries' pro athletes compete against our college athletes. Kobe is right. The under 23 concept is stupid because the US would be the only country following that guideline.
Posted Sunday July 15, 2012, About: Two possible suitors for Hamilton
This will be the most intriguing story of the offseason. What a talent, but what a gamble given his health.
Posted Sunday July 15, 2012, About: Girardi not moving A-Rod lower in order -- yet
Yeah, that's the ticket. Eat 20 - 25 million per year for the next six years just to prove they have "nads". Oh, yeah and give up 25 HR and 80 -90 RBI from a thin third base position.
Posted Friday June 29, 2012, About: Phillies looking to move Thome to the AL
That's why the are shopping him to AL teams.
Posted Tuesday June 12, 2012, About: MLB's hottest trade commodity
Yanks have Sabathia, Pettitte, Kuroda, Nova, and Hughes. They won't add Dempster. Don't need him.
Posted Monday June 11, 2012, About: Time for Phils to face disturbing facts
Not to mention the rapid improvement of teams like the Nationals.

And I wondered why you called yourself StupidMoron.
Posted Thursday June 07, 2012, About: The most likely 'Stro to go
Rays, KC, Pirates are all using this model. It's the new Moneyball strategy.
Posted Saturday March 31, 2012, About: Rangers returning Hamilton to center field
Stupid comment. He is an outstanding fielder.
Posted Saturday February 25, 2012, About: Hamilton: I don't owe the Rangers
Nobody owes anybody anything. The Rangers did not give Hamilton a chance at a MLB career, the Reds did. He has done nothing but produce since becoming a Ranger. He's right. It is a business. He gives it his all and he gets compensated. As for his "relapses" we are not talking drugs. We're talking getting drunk twice in four years. I'm sure no other MLB star has EVER done that. Get off this guys' back.
Posted Friday February 03, 2012, About: Kinsler attempted to shield Hamilton
It's hard enough living your life under a microscope and dealing with fools who post stupid stuff on blogs and in the press. It's even harder if you are a recovering addict. Hang in there, Josh.
